I just got this machine a week ago in lieu of a gym membership, and it was completely worth the money! I was expecting that the stride might be short and jerky, but I am 5'6" and I find the stride is very natural. I also thought it would be a pain to try and balance because there are no arm grips, but it forces you to use your abs the entire time you are on it. It's very quiet and easy to move into a corner when not in use. If you are short on space or don't feel like paying to use the elliptical at the gym, this is the way to go!
I love this elliptical trainer. I moved to a very small house from a much larger apartment and couldn't afford the space for my traditional elliptical which saddened me. I was surprised to find that an elliptical existed in such a compact style and after watching videos on youtube decided to purchase it. It didn't take long to get used to taking smaller strides than a standard-sized trainer and I was really surprised at how stable it is and I balanced easily on it no matter which way I twisted my body. I am 5'9" and 179lbs as a reference. When using this I got what I consider important signs it was working: sweat, accelerated heart rate, and sore muscles the next day....also it's fun if you're listening to music and moving your arms about like a maniac on the dance floor. Another great thing, it's super quiet.
Very pleasantly surprised- I was afraid when I took it out of the box I wasn't going to be able to put it together. Followed the instructions exactly (funny how it works out better that way!) and put everything on the floor. Started at step 1 (no pun intended) and in less than 20 minutes was on my new elliptical. Love this and am using every night. I do have to use a chair or the tall kitchen table for balance but it's getting used daily. If you're hesitant, I say go for it- everything you need to assemble is included.
This product came in a nice, compact box that was well packed with all the tools needed to get going. There were 4 pieces you had to assemble yourself, but I did it in under 20 minutes...my husband stood by thinking he would have to swoop in to save me but it didn't happen! Ha! It has a smooth flow, which is nice. If it doesn't seem smooth, just adjust the knob to lessen the intensity and you'll see that it can be smoother. I'm in good shape and hit the gym 4 days a week but wanted something to use while we binge watched tv at night. This fits the bill. I'm 5'4" (120 lbs) so the stride length isn't perfect but it works. And if you feel like it's not doing it for you, just squat or go backwards to get a better motion. The electronic piece does a great job of showing number of strides, time, calories, etc. No problems! My husband tried it out as well. He's 5'9" and 185 lbs and he found that his legs were burning after a couple of minutes and that it also required balance, so I feel this could be a bit of a workout for anyone!
I thought there may be balance issues when using this machine. I was wrong . The base is solid and the mechanics smooth. So an easy 20 minutes of stepping gives a moderate workout.
Wow!!! Fast to assemble, easy to use and AMAZING workout that would have you burning 300 calories in just 33 minutes. Wish i would of bought it before i waisted money on more expensive, less reliable machines.....
I bought this to use under my desk when I'm sitting. While it will work that way, it didn't work for me in that my knees came up so high and I had to sit very differently at my desk, which ended up being uncomfortable all around (ergonomically). What I really like about this machine is that it works great, love the stride counter and that you can increase tension. I will use this standing up. When I have used the machine standing, I believe I get a superior workout--I have to keep my balance, which isn't that hard, but you get a better workout just based on that. So I will keep this in my cubicle at work and use it standing when I need a break from sitting. A co-worker of mine has this machine as well and she used it on Thanksgiving, while she cooked the whole dinner!! The other thing I really like is the quality of this machine based on the good price. I didn't know what to expect--half expected it to be not very sturdy. On the contrary, it is a substantial little elliptical on which I feel safe.
I received it about a week ago. Easy to put together. Very sturdy. I would say that it is definitely low impact, the pedaling easy on the knees. You will need a chair in front of you or you will fall off. After you get the hang of it, it's fine and you will get a work out. I'm happy with it because I wanted something you can move around easily therefore I would have no excuse to work out. This will do the trick. It really does not compare to a regular eliptical where you can feel the work out everywhere, but sometimes the regular elipticals are too much work out and you give up. This machine mainly burns your legs, but I'm sure that this will relect throughout your body. This will work for someone that hasn't worked out for a long time and needs to start with a machine that eases their way through. Im happy with it.
It took a while to get used. After practice it is good and easy. Right now I feel slight tiny weird noise from the left side and hope that should not cause any problems and it would last longer. Otherwise this product is amazing and helps a lot
We ordered this mini elliptical because of our budget. We are about to order a regular elliptical for about $260 on here but wanted to go for something cheaper so we decided on this one. I gave it 3 stars for two negative reasons: 1. It squeaks incredibly LOUD! We tried to WD40 it from where we could see the socket from where the pedals came from but it did nothing. You might have to open the entire compartment to really stop the squeaking. 2. The stride on this is SUPER short. I'm very petite (4'9) and the stride is still hard on me. I just had to get used to it. But other then those two problems you should decided whether those would be too much for you to purchase. The price is fair on it, its actually large in person. So if your on a budget and wouldn't mind dealing with its flaws then I'd say go for it!
