I bought this item to put under my desk at work. I sit in a cubicle almost all day and can often feel lethargic and bored. But this bike has given me enough energy and motivation to get through my day! It was incredibly easy to put together; it only took about 5 minutes and I didn't even need to use the directions. It fits perfectly under my desk and is so quiet that my coworker who shares a cubicle wall with me can't even hear it. The calorie counter and timer don't work correctly; they broke on the second day, but I am more concerned with staying active than getting a calorie-burning workout--although I'm definitely burning calories!
I got the extended warranty because I expected a little less! It is exactly what I wanted. Very little, simple assembly. Sturdy. Got it for my husband with a bad back, but I use it just setting watching tv. And it slides right under the chair when I'm done. Very satisfied.
I am pregnant and I wanted a device that would allow me to stay somewhat active during my pregnancy and not hurt the baby while doing so. This product is great! it is durable and very stable, also counts the minutes, calories, and distance. I watch my favorite shows while sitting on the couch and pedal away...no stress on my back or joints.
I am having bilateral total knee replacement surgery in a month. I have very specific exercises to do before and will have PT after. This mini bike is perfect for some preconditioning, to work a bit on hamstrings and quads, and will be invaluable after for range of motion and to prevent scarring inside my knees. Some people have said in reviews that the bike moves on the rug or floor. I think that is because they push with their thighs flat against the chair they are sitting on. Raise thighs off the chair and lean back if necessary and then pedal the mini bike with a combination of pull and push. I find no movement of the bike using this method and I get work for hamstrings and quads. There is not a lot of resistance. It is the motion and muscle memory that I am striving for and the time pedaling can increase to build strength. I highly recommend. Computer works fine for time or number of revolutions.
i use this daily since my stroke 6 years ago i've ballooned up to beach whale status. i wish it had a strap to secure my bad to the peddle i also wish the resistance could be set higher even at the max i can't feel any resistance its a tad heavy but sturdy all in all it is worth the $50
I thought it was a a good quality "cardio mini cycle" exercise equipment made with steel being that I purchased it for $84, but it's made with plastic material and I don't know how long it will last. I should have thoroughly researched reviews, but for now I will give it a 2 star because of the quality. I'm a 65 year old woman and I will continue exercising my feet, legs, and arms on it. The movement, adjustment, and tension of the pedals are set appropriate for me.
ASSEMBLY-great: -tool included-very easy!!! PEDALS-poor: -have to push pedals with heels otherwise heels hit base of machine. UNSTABLE-poor: -machine slides on floor-doesnt stay in place. PAIN: _if any knee injury will cause pain when using. (i had a clicking noise on my right knee immediately when using it which I've never had before. Plus, afterwards, both knees felt like burning sensation under them after using only a few minutes!?! )
I don't know if this was a manufacturing issue or if it was a piece of junk. The tension could not be adjusted correctly causing it to have a jerky motion or not stay on the floor while peddling. I bought it for cardiac rehab then couldn't use it at all. Even worse l purchased it through my S3 insurance card and am with a different company now so can't even get a refund. Total waste of money buy a better item instead.
I waited so long for this bike and when it finally came the calorie counter does not work at all.so we dont know how long my husband is on it etc. big disapointment.and it slides all over the floor,my husband is in a wheelchair and can not use it as expected.
Even when the resistance is dialed to zero there is still resistance and it is not a smooth function. It should be a very smooth to use for coordination and then resistance added in a measured way. This is not a well designed machine or Walmart sold me a defective one. Dont buy it until you have tried it!
