Stamina X Hyper Extension Exercise Bench, Red and Black

I weigh 240 pounds (the bench is rated to 250) and the bench works perfectly. It was easy to assemble. It folds easily and you can carry it with one hand to store it or get it out to work out. I read reviews before I purchased the bench and several had concerns about the padded part of the bench being too hard and uncomfortable. Once I adjusted it to my exact height, and exactly where I wanted the bench to be situated for my workout, it is fine. I don't use any extra padding or towels or anything. I am used to working out on a commercial grade hyper bench at Gold's Gym, and this one works just as good. I've only had it for a week, so I can't comment on the durability, but so far I am 100% pleased.

My wife works for Wal-Mart, I do not. I've been suffering from lower back pain for years. I have degenerative disc disease and tight ham strings. Not much you can do about it except remove the discs and fuse the back. So I'm trying to strengthen my lower back muscles to see if that helps. I found this bench on Sears for $200 and really wanted to try it but couldn't justify $200 glad I found it on walmart.com for $99. It shipped to the store really fast and came in a medium sized box and was simple to put together even for a guy who HATES to assemble stuff. Took maybe 15 minutes right out the box. I suggest using a ratcheting wrench makes it quicker and easier on your hands. Just don't over tighten. Wish that it had come with more instructions and workouts your kinda on your own on how to use. You can see pictures on Stamina's website. I like it, it stretches my lower back, I can feel it working my hamstrings and I haven't found another exercise that works the lower back muscles. We will see after a month how my back feels. I will update then. And as far as benches go this one looks really sharp. 8/8/2013

i always check the reviews before i purchase things. I did so with this and i was hoping it wouldnt be tippy or too small and piece of poop product lol. I weight 215 so im a bigger woman who just had a baby so i was worried with the weight bending over it if it would tip or even break. npe no way well it was way better quality than i expected. it wasnt tippy and it was well worth the money i was happy with this.

It's been a very very long time since I have used one of these. still great for the back and doing "side ups". fast shipping, super easy to put together.

I thought it was going to be difficult to assemble, and was intimated by the hardware identification chart, but focused on it since I've assembled benches in the past.

This piece of equipment is made well. I purchased this mainly to strengthen my lower back and abs, but I use it to stretch my back as well and it works great.

It is super for what I was looking for to add to my gym. I use nearly every single day! I really have no complaints other than wish the foam ankle support had been less time consuming to lower. Great product at a great price!

The padding is a little tough on the hips/waist but the main thing I dislike is the position and support of the feet. For the price and ability to fold, it is worth it though.

This bench is very sturdily built. I bought it to be able to do back extensions at home. The pad is pretty uncomfortale to hang your upper body over at the waist. I kind of wish I would have gotten one of the other back extension benches where the bench is horizontal -- not at a 45 degree angle. This one does take up less space though and folds up. The quality looks like something you would find at a gym. It might be more comfortable for ab work than back extensions, but I don't use it for that.

Seams started coming apart after about 3-4 uses. It just sits there. Not like it takes a lot of beating, but the red edging, the staples started pulling out quickly. It's an easy fix, but something I don't feel should be falling out so soon. I am about 220 lbs and it easily holds me up with 40-50 lbs of dumbbells and it adjust easily. So, it's sturdy, just not the best of quality.
