Stander Couch Cane, Safety Support Standing Mobility Aid for Seniors

I purchased this for my mother who is mostly wheelchair bound. She is a little unstable on her feet, but this gives her a secure, stable grip for her to use when transferring from wheelchair to her recliner and vice versa. I also purchased the optional tray which gives her a place to eat in her recliner. She likes Circle a Word puzzles and it gives her a place to do them also. The pouch is very roomy. It holds her reading glasses and other small items she uses all the time like the TV remote, etc.

This is a well made item,easy to assemble and a great tool for an elderly person who has difficulty getting up from a sitting position. My dad has balance issues,so after he stands it gives him something to steady himself.

My 93 year old father received this product from the VA to assist him in standing up from the sofa or recliner. It's made very sturdy and heavy to withstand the pressure when grabbing and pushing on it to assist with standing up from a sitting position. My father is very satisfied and grateful for such a good quality product to make life just a little easier for him. Thank you!

After diagnosed with Parkinson's, life became a constant challenge of moving safely due to fear of falling. The joy of enjoying the living room to watch TV was taken away. Wasn't sure I could get up off the couch without falling. The Couch Cane has been wonderful in allowing me to gain independence without asking anyone for help. Thanks a bunch !!!

My 86 year old Father has a new lift chair that he was having difficulty getting in and out of without help because it's deeper than the old one. The couch cane arrived today and was simple setup. Put it in place and he was able to get up and it helped get him farther back in the chair too! I am ordering another for the other side and he should have no trouble getting up and down without help! Amen

It is a great help standing up from chair. Doesn’t work with the rocker recliner but is very sturdy with arm chair. Adjustable height is handy and is easy to use.

The picture makes it look like the secure bar is flat and that's why I ordered this one. It is more tube like so if your base of your sofa goes all the way around this will not work. I personally had to keep it because I didn't have time to shop for something else and weighted it down with a table. I hope it stays secure enough for my dad.

This is more stable than a traditional walking cane, and it does assist with standing. However, the placement interferes with line of sight to television. It does its job well, but due to its nature it may not be good for all layouts.

Seems easy to use. It is for people with moderate body strength. You need to reach over to use it. I need to push with both arms. I see another product that should work fine. Please send free car caddy
