Compact good sound.

I didn't want to spend very much money for a radio for my emergency preparedness kit. This one is perfect. Strong signal, clearly picks up a lot of stations. Music doesn't have very good sound but the signals are strong and clear to hear public service announcements. After receiving the first one, I bought a second one for my daughter. I thoroughly recommend it. Be sure to get extra batteries too!

I ordered three of these. I tested each one to make sure that it worked properly. They all did. The only trouble was some difficulty with all of the units getting the battery cover closed. I ultimately did... but take your time because I imagine that it wouldn't take much impatience and force to break the connection. . All three radios got good reception on some stations... But I was inside a building and didn't bother to raise the antennas. These are good back-up emergency units and the latest model has handsome looking metal front instead of the ghastly plastic I've seen on earlier models. I'm giving the item four stars... partly because it is not a "major player" in the serious radio field... and the battery covers. But so long as you immediately test your units as soon as you get them, I think that you will be more than satisfied.

This is a palm-sized radio, just what I needed for emergencies. It is hard to tune, but can be done with patience. A lot of static, crackling, and high-pitched signals--definitely not for audiophiles.

OK, 2 stars might be harsh, but the reception is very limited and the speakers are really tinny. The size is nice because it fits anywhere. The price is very reasonable. I get one station I like- so it's Ok for me, but keep in mind that you get what you pay for- maybe you should start saving with this price, add to it for a few weeks, and then buy a better unit...

This is little more than the size of a gift card. The battery cover is not manufactured properly as it is very difficult to close once the batteries are in. I finally forced the cover on, and turned it on, and that was the only time it tuned. I turned it off, and turned it on a few times, and all I got was static. I didn't change the station at all, and it never would pick up any station after that. Its too bad this is terrible, its the perfect size for an emergency and the sound was great for such a small radio.

i laughed when i opened the box, it was smaller than the 6 or so inch mini radios i'm used to, it's like 3 inches long, cute though. problem is when i put in batteries the volume doesn't work! :( stuck on max volume (really loud, scared the heck out of my dog). will stick with name brand and pay a bit more next time. waste unfortunately.

Horrible, do not purchase! Cheap plastic and TINY...about the size of a credit card!!!!
