Star Trek Discovery: Seasons 1-5 (DVD)

I have seen all of Star Trek Original Series, Next Gen, Brave New Worlds, and some of Voyager, DS9, and Enterprise. The first two seasons were OUTSTANDING! Great sci-fi, great story. These seasons are like one big movie cut into episodes. The story has many twists and turns and is very imaginative. Season 3 was still better than average Star Trek, but less impressive, and leaned more into drama. Seasons 4 and 5 were more typical, with a lot of drama and some imaginative sci-fi. The last 3 seasons start out with some kind of problem, and then there is a struggle that takes place through the (more stand-alone) episodes until it is resolved near the end. Season 4 had disk issues. My 2024 Panasonic Blu-Ray player could not read disk 1 at all. But, my 2002(?) JVC DVD player could as long as I jumped to another section before it ended, otherwise it got stuck. Portions of 2 episodes were not viewable, but I saw most of it. Disk 3 looked great on my Panasonic player, but the colors looked strange on my JVC player.

We are long-time Star Trek fans and think this series is one of the best. The acting, special effects, and plots are excellent. Definitely recommend it. We also think it was a good idea to order the entire series at once since you're not left with an annoying cliff hanger.

I tried ordering this set from another place and it was damaged when I got it? But this one was great.

it's like going on a voyage with an on another starship it was fun but I always like Star Trek the different ones
