Iam here to tell you these things really work!! I have the plug-ins that are blue. These are the refills for them. I use them year round. This winter I could not believe how many gnats I were stuck on that thing. It was covered. You would think they would die out in the winter time. No...we are insect infested this day and age. I must just notice it more. But I can't stand little bugs flying around while I am cooking or eating. Go get some Stem units and refills!!
highly recommend. I was skeptical but wow do these things work. Purchased these due to gnats around some of our house plants after potting in organic soil. uuggghhh! Also a plus that these can be used as nightlights while handling the pests at the same time.
Stem traps catch gnats! We go in and out of the house all day. Even though we use a bug spray service (mosquito & gnat) for our yard, we still have gnats. Some are so tiny! While I was at the grocery store, a friendly lady told me about the product. They were on sale at the time. So I tried two, one for each of my backyard doors, and was amazed by how well they worked.
i was skeptical when i first bought this product last summer. but i was sold when the trap filled up with flies, moths and gnats. i keep the trap in the kitchen, where i have the most problems w gnats and flies coming in with the dog. the trap is suprisingly effective.
This is a great device! Especially at night when all other lights are off, the insects are drawn to the pleasing blue light. Then they are trapped and no longer a nuisance in our home.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] STEM Flying Insect Light Fly Trap Starter Kit was convenient and easy to use. I like how you just plug it in and leave it to do its job. I plugged it near my fruit basket, which always attracts gnats, and sure enough, this fly trap caught them! I was surprised to see how many were there after a week of using. Even when it’s unplugged, it still managed to trap those pesky gnats!
Your refills are hard to find!!! My retailer does NOT carry refills. I spent a lot of time looking for refills!! Finally spent a lot of time on the internet. The thing does work.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fly trap starter kit had all the makings of really being something, and although it wasn’t completely worthless, I was disappointed on the efficiency. The light was entirely too bright during the nighttime, and it took a long time to “fill up” the first insert- more time than I have honestly. Still a great concept, I just think it could be improved a little.
as subject states - didn't work for me. watched flies go into the trap and go back out - happened mor than once. yes, instructions were followed re; addition of water etc
Supplier (was not Walmart) shipped differen product that does the same thing but I ordered STEM trap and have ordered quantity of that brand of insert sticky for that trap, not the POLYLA Flying INsect Trap that was shipped. Takes different inserts that what I ordered. Will process a return. No notice of explanation as to why different product was shipped.
