just WHAT I EXPECTED

This bulk pack of Stonebriar votive candles arrived double-boxed, with plenty of padding between the boxes, and so all 48 votive candles arrived safely, with none of the little glass candleholder cups broken. The candles were unscented as described (and thus won't clash with any other scents or air fresheners being used in the home). It took 2 wooden safety matches to light the candle we tested; one of those long-handled lighters used for fireplaces and barbeque grills would probably be even easier to use in getting these votive candles lit. We lit the candle we tested at about 12 Noon, and it was still going strong as of 5:00PM. I can think of so many ways these Stonebriar candles could be used! Since each candle includes a clear glass candleholder, there's no need to get out a spare plate from the dinnerware cupboard, should you need to light a few candles as emergency lighting in a power failure situation. These are almost exactly like the candles people at my church use for their devotions, and would certainly be serviceable for devotional use in any religion. They're also perfect for DIY centerpieces for any festive occasion. These are simple unscented votive candles, but ready to use with the included candleholders, and very versatile. Highly recommended!

These candles are more of an ivory color, not white. The box they arrived in specify that they are white, but unfortunately that isn’t the case. I have added a photo of a white votive candle that I had on hand to compare the two.

I received these candles in response for an honest review. I didn't have a specific event to use these candles at but I use a lot of candles. I really liked that these candles burned very clean (no black smoke). The reason I gave the cancels 4 stars instead of 5 is because they were supposed to be white but are more of a cream color instead of a true white candle. They're still really nice. I've attached a picture of these candles burning. The candle in the middle was burning for 4 hours and the ones on the ends were burning for about 8 hours. They certainly seem to be long burning. I would recommend these candles for an event.

The candles smell like cow manure. I cannot stand the smell at all, and it’s really embarrassing to use because of the stench. And, I don’t mean a lit candle. I mean the second you open the box, the smell hits you. It could be the packaging itself, but something stinks.
