Story Time Chess: The Game

I bought this for my three and five year-old sons. We first taught it to our five-year-old son. He absolutely loved it. So much that we haven't really got a chance to teach it to the three-year-old. Five-year-old asks to play chess every day. I'm almost regretting buying it because he wants to play it so much. But really, I think it's great for him. I feel like it teaches him amazing critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills and just opens new pathways in his brain. I hope to teach my now four-year-old soon. We got storytime chess 2 and now are working through that with the six-year-old. Would definitely recommend it!

This was recommended by a friend for my 6 year old grandsons. It will be a Christmas present and a great way to learn the game of chess. The value was great. It was the best price of all places carrying it! It came very quickly and I am pleased so far !

For chess lovers who want to teach their kids, this is great. Each character is introduced 1 at a time with a silly story and mini activities to learn how the pieces move. I bought this for my 3 year old for christmas and although it will be awhile before he grasps how to move the pieces, he has learned the names of the pieces and how to set up the chess board (there are pictures on the chess board so its like a matching game). He is very engaged in the stories and has made up his own activities with the chess pieces based on the stories which is fun.

This game is absolutely fantastic! It is a brilliant way to teach children how to play chess, and is super engaging and makes a complex game feel easy. My four-year-old absolutely loves it and honestly is now better at chess than I am. The characters are racially diverse, and the stories are fun for kids. This product is really impressive!!

Great game to teach my 3 year old the basics of chess!

This is a Christmas gift so we have not given it yet. However, my granddaughter has played it at friends house and she wanted her own very much.

This game is absolutely FANTASTIC. I have taught a lot of children to play chess over the years as an educator, but this allowed me to teach my four-year-old to play with EASE!! It is really impressively put together, very engaging and clear, and super fun. My child asks to play it almost every day!
