Streamlight The Siege, Rugged and Compact Outdoor Lantern, Coyote

I have three of these, now. They are for my house when Florida storms knock out the power. They are replacing several of those non adjustable led lanterns that are so bright they're distracting. These Streamlights have three levels of white light and a nice red light for night lights you can leave on all night. These are substantial lanterns with a rubber non slip bottom. If it gets knocked over it won't roll off the table. The screw on lantern globe and twist on battery compartment are “O” ring sealed. I can recommend it.

See my review and comments on the Streamlight AA LED Lantern posted elsewhere. I purchased it and this Coyote 340 on Walmart.com at the same time. In brief, I already own other Streamlight products. All have provided 100% satisfaction so far and, rare as it may sound, at least in my case, their customer service backs their guarantee. I keep the smaller AA LED in my vehicle and this larger version, the 340, inside the house. You can read about all the features and the excellent construction of the 340 lantern but I will assure you, if you owned just one emergency light, this would serve you well. If the power went out during a storm, the LOW setting would provide light until bedtime and early morning for several days.

We got this because we had one already and needed others when the power goes out. We were left with no electricity during a storm recently, and really could have used more than one of these!!

This lantern works very well for camping and as emergency lighting during a power outage. It puts out enough lumens for very good visibility in the dark. The soft quality of the light is easy on the eyes with no glare. You have alot of versatility in the way you can hang the lantern due to the bail and clips strategically located at the top and bottom of the lantern. It has sturdy construction features and is water tight. I highly recommend this item.

Very bright. It would be great for camping. It looks like day light. Well built it would make a good gift.
