This is the best coffee I have ever had outside of a coffee house. It is becoming my standard and will probably be put on a regular order. This is the first coffee that I have been able to taste the notes of the flavors listed on the coffee container also this has roast date on the package once again. I highly recommend this coffee.
I want organic strictly but sometimes the taste doesnt match the hype. Stumptowns Organic Founders coffee beans absolutely do! Full bodied, not too strong but strong enough to taste the bean. I use a french glass coffee press so the aftertaste doesnt leave an “ick” in my mouth. I find grinding my own beans always give a better flavored coffee. I highly recommend this coffee.
Founder's Blend is one of the most balanced coffees I've tried. It has a smooth body with subtle vanilla and cocoa powder notes and very low bitterness. It works great both as drip coffee and espresso. Definitely a dependable blend if you want something rich but still easy to drink every day.
Excellent and unique flavor. I've never tasted a coffee quite like this, superb quality. This was recommended by chat gpt as I was searching for coffees. I have a really nice burr grinder also though, and that is essential to really pulling the full flavor out of any coffee, this is one of my top coffee flavors now for sure.
I had the ground first and didn't like it at all. I got the whole bean and it was perfect as far as flavor aroma was pleasant. A different kind of refreshing taste with the citrus notes. The price was good but double every now and again so I will get more when the price goes down.
My new favorite coffee! Saw this recommended online after doing a Google search to try to track down a new coffee after we decided to stop using Everyday Dose. After trying this one time, I was hooked! Even subscribed to the decaf for some post dinner coffee. To me, a good coffee is one that I don't have to add sugar or milk to. And this 100% can be! I enjoy this black on a daily basis but I also occasionally save leftovers and make a cold brew the following morning with milk and creamer. It is delicious both ways! Love, love, LOVE this coffee!!
I like them but they're not as dark roasted as I usually like. They remind me more of 17ft by Blue Bottle or Nizza by La Colmba. Tho, I prefer Corsica by La Colombe the most. All in all, great quality and recommend buying. Value for money isn't that great though.
I'm new to using a high quality grinder (Baratza) and coffee maker (Bonavita) and to the 1:16 coffee to water ratio. The first attempt with the Founder's blend I measured the coffee way too light - about 1/2 the ratio. But after getting a scale, I did better. The coffee was indeed better, but really did nothing special for me. It's an ok basic coffee. I'm looking for something with a little more character.
with all the great comments I gave it a try. Coffee beans were dry I did love the flavor at first. By the end I was surprised to have my stomach upset. I don't know if I got a bad bag. My review is my own. I am a coffee lover. I believe I also ordered it way back. The taste was better. Price was the issue then I believe. I would love a nice tasteful cup of coffee that was consistently tasteful! I understand time's have changed. Still. The ground was too fine?
AWFUL. BUYER BEWARE! Not sure what's going on here. Have purchased this exact coffee from other retailers %26 nvr had an issue. This claims to be DARK roast, it's NOT- The beans are light brown %26 SUPER dry. They should be (%26 have been in the past) oily %26 fragrant, these are neither. Once brewed via french press, the coffee has close to zero flavor = just $17 brown water that I had to wait 1 wk to receive. Once again, learned a tough lesson- Ya get what ya pay for, no more java orders from big box retailers- I will pay more for a reputable, boutique brand that guarantees 3rd party testing, organic, no mold, FRESH coffee.
