I absolutely love this chili oil! If you enjoy spicy food but don't want something overwhelmingly hot, this is the perfect balance. It adds just the right amount of heat and flavor without overpowering your food. I use it on everything—dumplings, noodles, rice, stir-fries, and even when I'm making fried eggs in the morning. A little drizzle in the pan while the egg cooks is so delicious! The flavor is rich and satisfying, and it gives meals an extra kick without being too spicy or too bland. This is one of those products I always keep stocked in my kitchen because I reach for it almost daily. If you're a fan of spicy foods, I highly recommend giving it a try. It's become a staple in my house and I'll definitely keep buying it! 🌶️🔥
While you could make your own, if it's something you don't use frequently, this is indeed a time saver. I use it along with the oil I need to prepare fried rice. Hint here: When you don't have cold (refrigerated) cooked rice (for food safety, no longer than a day at that), do what I do: I use the instant rice and use 25% less liquid (water/broth) which allows you to do it whenever you'd like to. Also for freshness: Keep oils in the fridge, even if you have yet to open it. I do it with mayonnaise and salad dressing as well. Why? Oils can go rancid like sesame if not refrigerated when you don't use it quickly enough.
I shake this up and pour about 1/2 bottle into boiling pasta water to give the pasta a little kick. Good w creamy Alfredo, chicken or shrimp chunks and also good w white rice. Good feedback from guests.
Great on Asian entrees, a little dab may do you, use as desired to adjust heat intensity. I am not even done with my first bottle but already have my backup waiting in my pantry, don't want to run out!
The best chili oil I've ever used! And no crazy ingredients or dyes!!
I wish it had a stopper so it didn't come out so fast, other than that it's my favorite chili oil I love it so much
The heat level is debateable I didn't find this spicy at all, but there seems to be some debate on that as I have a palate that likes spicy food. A friend used it to spice up her ramen (she has NO Toĺerance for Spice), she couldn't finish her dish because to her it was too hot.
Sometimes I make my own hot oil, but mostly I use another brand. Out of stock on my usual brand so I tried this. Lets just say very bland, no taste, no heat...end of story it hit the trash.
Received the bottle with the cap broken. These are very cheap plastic tops. This is the second time the cap has broken. I would like my money back for this item.
Good stuff! We bought chilli oil to mix with crushed chilli pepper to make extra hot sauce for soup (Pho)!
