Sunbeam heating pad works well Heats up fast. Auto shut off..Is a plus. Great for anyone who has chronic pain. I would not recommend using it every day. Studies show that heat can make health conditions worse. I'm not a doctor. I live with Chris pain and take no OTC meds or pain. meds. I recently stopped using my heating pad every day. I have seen some improvement. It's difficult when you were hit by a SUV while walking. Auto shut off. for neck and back. For Pain. I have purchased 2 of these in the past 5 years They are made well. The equate brand works well too. I prefer a more plush heating pad.
Picked this up for pain, specifically lower back and sciatica, and it's been doing exactly what I needed. The 12x24 size is large enough to wrap across the full lower back, which matters when discomfort runs along the sciatic nerve. The heat output is consistent with no hot spots, and the moist heat function penetrates deeper than a standard dry pad. No burned or musty smell afterward either, which was a concern going in. Washability is a plus: being able to clean the pad without worrying about ruining it makes a difference when you're using it regularly. After a week of consistent use it still performs the same as day one. Best for anyone dealing with chronic back pain, muscle tightness, or nerve-related discomfort who wants a reliable, no-fuss option at home.
LOVE THIS HEATING PAD. This heating pad is my second one because my son needed one. The heat gets really hot on high temperatures for the thick skinned individuals and us sensitive skins can use the lower settings as well.
Best heating pad I've ever used and the 2 hour automatic shut off is ideal. I don't think I will ever use anything but Sunbeam products again. I already had one from Sunbeam for wrappping my neck and shoulders with a magnetic closure and it works great too, same automatic 2 hour shut off.
I had my first one for 2 years until it shorted out, so I got this one. I love the product, it does get super hot. however when I received this one (through delivery) the box was open, and instructions were gone. still happy to have another one. hopefully it doesn't short out
Even when completely shut off, after a while a red light indicator is on and requires another shut down or I will unplug for safety reasons. The cord is very stiff. These heaters usually don't have a long life therefore I expect to buy another since I use it morning and evening.
The heating pad is not as long as the picture and the way that it is described. Also the connector is very big and hangs out of the pocket of the pad and this makes it very difficult to use for the areas that I am are experiencing pain. If you are or have a family member or friend that is very sensitive to the connector being too big and have issues with things not being the same way they are described. You should take a look at some other options. Overall it heats up well, there's no noise and it's soft enough to enjoy and keeps me from having to take my medicine for pain
This thing doesn't get hot enough. I have to put the temperature setting on high to equal the heat level of my previous heating pad on it's lowest setting. Of course that heating pad was over 20 years old and died of old age. They just don't make them like they used to. If I had it to do over I would not buy this heating pad.
This heating pad would not get hot, the highest setting only produced the lowest warmth. It is a very soft heating pad, but the roll up attachment adds a scratchy surface. I have neuropathy and use heating pads for my feet, with the scratchy addition and the low heat I returned this.
Used it twice half hour each time. Laid it on the back of my chair and unplugged it, was feeling a bit better. The next day I plugged it in put it on my lower back again. After about a half hour I shut the power off at the switch. Laid the pad on the back of the chair again. Figured about a half hour later, I'd use it again. Well this is where the DANGER WILL ROBINSON comes in. Sitting behind me, on the back of the chair, switch turned off, it started smoking and caught on fire. Turned off at the switch. Walmart did issue me a refund. You just need to beaware that this could happen if you buy this. I may have got the one bad one out of a million. I hope I did. At least I was still right there to act fast and not lose our house or worse. Seeing this first hand, I won't be able to sleep at night if I don't warn you.
