ITs good. I bought it to replace a queen size and was tired of the 2 controls and an 18 inch space in-between left and right side of a queen size blanket I didn't like as it would be cold in-between these sets of wire. I live by myself and wanted the whole bed to be heated. So i gave up the 2 controls to have continuous heating over the whole bed. The only other thing I don't like of Sunbeam is that they started putting more space in-between wires for a total width of only 18-20 inches of heated blanket on each side with a queen size which is another reason I bought a FULL size for a wider width of heating. And the dial lights up too bright even though it dims down after a few seconds. I have the control hang down over my headboard rather than sitting on a table, so i turn the control around 180degrees so the lighted dial points towards the headboard not bothering me with the bright light shining down on me. They don't make things the way they used to which was always better than how they design things today with no common sense in mind these days!! I dont like how anything is manufactured today, compared to the 1970s to 2000 when things were designed with quality in mind -NOT ANY MORE. All they care about now is taking your money, not support or quality...
This blanket is what you need. I keep the heat and air conditioning at 70. So in the winter, there is nothing better than a warm bed. If you want to save money, get an electric blanket and you can drop the temperature you keep the house at. The perfect gift for grandma and grandpa so they don't cook you out of the house. They are toasty at 90 with a blanket and you are in a normal temperature!
Great quality and I'm happy it could be brought over from another town only 25 miles away (therefore no shipping). Walmart charges exorbitant “location fees” when items are brought from the contiguous states, prices that more than double for larger items like furniture. If I can't find it locally I shop Amazon for these things now. Glad I found this item somewhat locally.
Beautiful and soft and very comfortable. The wire control and the wire power supply is oddly attached but have separate wire cables. It would make more sense if there was only one or if the controller was completely separated and near of the head of the blanket. 4 stars
Thin material, soft blanket material. Can feel the wires, very noticeable. I like the new remote, it's nice and small. Good brand I usually get them. But, unfortunately the blankets don't last long maybe a year at most, then stops heating up and wires get moved around in the blanket. Otherwise, great product.
I have bought Sunbeam electric blankets for years. I bought my mom one for Christmas years ago. They use to be thick and the wires ran across the whole blanket except for around the edges. I needed a new blanket so I purchased a Sunbeam like I always do and boy was I disappointed. The blanket was soft but not very thick and the wires only run about 8 rows on each side and thats it, just where a person's body would be. Hopefully you aren't on the bigger side or the wires just aren't going to cover you. For a queen size electric blanket thats terrible. About 8" in the middle of the blanket doesn't have wire so that part is cold. I expected better than this from Sunbeam. The electric blanket wasn't cheap either. I pad $100.00 for it. People work hard for there money and $100.00 isn't easy to come by. Do better Sunbeam!
The blanket I previously had was amazing and was very warm but it completely stopped heating so I ordered a new one. The new was the same brand but looked to be a little updated as far as the remote goes. When the new one arrived only one side of the blanket was heating. The blanket itself is very cozy but I will be returning it in hopes of them being able to make it right. If they do I will update my review
The first time using this electric blanket I had to put it on 5 level and could barely feel any heat. The next time I turned it up to 7 couldn't feel anything, even to 8. It stopped working. I'm going to try to return it. For $125 is expensive for 1 night of barely to no heat.
I would recommend this brand ONLY because the last 2 heated blankets I've owned have been Sunbeam and both of those blankets served us well over many years. This purchase was a dud I believe and will be returning it and trying again. The one I received never heated up very well and it is supposed to have 12 heat settings. There was no difference between 3 and 12. My past Sunbeam blankets I could put them on 7 and be extremely toasty - not with this one. I tried two nights with one set on 5 and it was barely warm.
I've had this blanket for 2 months. It worked fine at first, heats up well. I usually would stay warm %26 cozy at the lowest setting, highest setting was HOT. Unfortunately, 2 months in and it automatically turns off after one hour. $80 is too much to pay for it to malfunction after only 2 months.
