Suncast 100 ft. POWERWIND® Auto Power Rewind Hose Reel, Light Taupe

Super convenient! Saves back and arms while winding in the hose. Got one for my elderly Mother-in-law a few years ago and it has worked flawlessly. Looks nice and it is sturdy. Powerful motor pulls in and winds hose evenly across the spool. Walmart online shopping had a very reasonable price and it was delivered very quickly.

Roughly 10 years ago I bought my husband one for father's day. Worked like a dream, but years of weather plastic gave out. Had trouble finding a replacement. Last year bought 75 foot water pneumatic. Hated it! Searched high in low. Walmart carried, but was out stock. Month later I reorder from Walmart. Called Suncast for another vendor to place an order from since no other big box store carried. . Determined to get, both came same same day lol. Keeping both, one for the front yard the other for the back. Much to our surprise 2 winters out side and the battery still worked. P.S. Spent $40 less at Walmart. I paid more and paid $28 for shipping and handling. HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

I recently purchased a second Suncast Auto Wind Hose Reel and it has worked perfectly since I hooked it up. Hose unwinds easily and it easily winds the hose back onto the reel. I own another one of these units and have used it for 12 years, plus, the battery has lasted 12 years! I recently replaced the belt on it (discovered later that I didn't need to) and may have to replace a couple of o-rings in the near future. In 12 years I've really had no problems with the Auto hose reel and would highly recommend it to anyone that is tired of manually winding the hose. For those that have complained about the hose not unwinding off the reel easily, it's very possible the belt is installed incorrectly. My first unit developed the same problem, but only after my hubby took the hose completely off and some how the belt looped under an extension near the drive pulley. It was an easy fix after I found instructions on how to correctly install the belt. Walmart shipment was great.......arrived earlier than predicted!

It the only option I was able to find that had some type of auto wind feature and sits on the ground. It replaced an old Aquawind which has since warped (after 3 years). Only reason to give it 5 stars is because it works well and does what it says. The motor is strong enough to pull a fairly heavy 100ft hose. I still find myself helping it a little but its pretty good. Better than the Aquawind was. But I fully expect to have to replace this in a few years. Its plastic and has a motor that will sit outdoors in the elements. $180 is very expensive but no other options for my needs.

i was disgusted to find the plastic rewind portion had a tab broken right out of the box.. i had purchased one before and really liked it so i decided to get another. the company need to send me replacement parts to fix what they sent broken to me. i love the way it works but coukd be made alittke more durable.

Regarding the hose reel, I love it!! This was my 2nd purchase. However, upon opening the box, I noticed the parts had been opened %26 repacked. Further I inspection revealed, the Smart Reel wind mechanism had been broken- therefore I received a damaged item. I returned item asap and still I still haven't heard from Walmart regarding my exchange.

In less than 2 days it stopped working all together. We charged the battery and I still did not work. The wires are loose and are secure. I had to send it back. Also If you have to return it Custer care wants you to pick it up (IT'S VERY HEAVY) and return it to Fed Ex. Keep that in mind. One agent said that we would set up a pick from Fed ex that never happened. Called back and was told to drop it at fed ex. FYI, this is my send one. The first one died after a year and thought to give it another chance. Called to use my warranty and got the run around. Buy with caution. You'll never receive what you paid for. Look else-where.

I was excited to receive this hose reel and could not wait to use it! That is the only thing positive about this purchase. Received the box on July 10th. I had a feeling that there might be a problem when i noticed that the box was covered in some type of oily residue so I took pictures before opening it. It appeared to be intact...nothing loose on it. Followed the directions and charged up the battery, inserted the battery and nothing...I called Suncast and was told that it might be a bad battery so they sent me a new one. The new battery and still nothing. I called Suncast again and was told that it might be a wiring harness proplem. Here we are one month since receiving the reel and it’s still not working...oh yes, Suncast sent me a wiring harness and emailed the instructions for me to change it out. Well, for some reason, Suncast must think that for the price I paid for the reel that I also want to become a repair shop. Tried calling them but for the past two days I’ve gotten a message that they are “experiencing an unusually high call volume. Please try your call again later.” They close at 3:00 pm and closed on weekends. I’m returning it and only want a refund!

I should have known it was a returned item as the box was taped closed and inside was a plastic bag with the charger which had been taped shut but had a label with 09/0722 on it. The charger obviously was damaged because the battery itself had been "meddled" with as it had a "gizmo" where the charger was to be inserted that was crooked. I tried to charge the battery but it blinked back and forth from yellow to green. THIS IS CLEARLY A DEFECTIVE ITEM AND SHOULD NOT BE RESOLD.

This is a poorly constructed unreliable product, and it will be going back. I bought two of them. The first one that arrived did not work. A replacement arrived quickly from Walmart, but it stopped working outside on the first day. I'm afraid to intall the other one. I think they will both go back after reading how many of the reviews say it fails after a few months. I can believe it.
