Suncast 225 ft. Swivel Smart Trak® Resin Hose Hideaway®, Taupe, SSB200B

This replaces the Ames Reel Easy reel cabinet I've had for years. You can't beat Ames' willingness to replace a part free of charge, but they didn't have the same model any longer so I found this Suncast model. It looks more refined because it doesn't have wheels. The top part swivels about 45 degrees in either direction and does have some storage space for things under the top. The base comes with two long plastic pins that you drive into the ground holding it tightly in place. Instructions are clear and provides other mounting possibilities, such as for a deck. It empties and rewinds VERY smoothly. I do take the time to have the hose as much in front as possible putting less stress on the rewind process; It literally is like gliding a hot knife through softened butter. I do wish the handle had a spinning handle to more easily spin in your hand as it rewinds, but it rewinds so smoothly that you get used to it and is one less thing to break in the future.

Ordered this item hoping for the tall box as shown. However other customers indicated they received the short one. Same here received the short box with swivel. The price was good even if I got the short box so I ordered. Still happy.

The photo is of the wrong unit. It appears to have storage above the reel, it does not. I have one that does have storage above the hose reel, looks like the photo but that is not what I received.

The price was competitive with others selling the similar products. We liked the delivery time on it. I did not pick it, my husband did and he is happy with the product. I would have liked the swivel to turn on it own when I used the hose while watering the plants instead of having to manually swivel it. My husband thought it had a tray on the top when you opened the lid, this model did not.

Ordered two units. Both were satisfactory. However, the enclosed hose that fits to the unit and the outdoor facet were both permanently twisted (prevents water from flowing through the hose) in one spot on the hose. Working with the hose in hot water will remedy the problem, but once the hose has this issue it will not go completely away. The bottom line it creates a weak spot in the hose which will cause premature failure compared to the rest of the hose. This is not a Walmart issue, but the manufacturer should include a higher grade hose connection hose and/or be more careful in the preparation for shipping the package.

Received the wrong item. Received the smaller one which is a different product number altogether. And now I have to return it to the store. Seems I'm not the only one. However, the one I ordered was to replace the same one I've had for several years that's leaking in a couple different places. I like the hideaway storage and how much hose it can hold. Plus, it's very easy to wind up as it does all the coiling as you wind. Rating is for Walmart's order pickers. They can do better.

The CPLSSB200B 225' Suncast swivel hose reel came damaged. The right front corner of the box was pulled apart and the box was off of the swivel stand. The winding reel and hose guide mechanism were pulled out of there sockets on one side and laying loose in the interior of the box. The tab holding detents that hold the right front corner of the box are ripped so that the box cannot be pushed back together and "latched". The reel looks similar to the one we had been using for about 5 years, only this one has a swivel base. I need to return and give an undamaged one a try.

Despite many posts indicating you are not shipping the right model, you sent me the one without the top storage that I ordered. I guess shame on me for still ordering it, I was just assuming you would correct this by now.

I received the lesser version of the product I ordered. The product I ordered was supposed to have a shelf under the lid, for garden tools. This hideaway has no shelf
