SunGro Black Gold Seedling Mix for Seeds or Cutting, 16 Quart Bag

This is by far the best seed starting mix I have used in decades of vegetable gardening. The big-name competitors' do not even come close in my experience. I have done multiple side-by-side experiments with several competitors' products. This product won every time in quality of material and in plant growth. I am not a rocket scientist but, in my earlier days, I was an industrial microbiologist/biochemist.

This is the best seedling mix I've tried in the all the years I've been growing my own vegetables. Seedlings grow fast and strong. Between this soil and grow lights the plants are ready for transplant to the garden in excellent condition.

This is an excellent seed starting mix. Easy to hydrate and enough nutrients to get plants growing well!

Little pricey but seems to be quality soil

Price is a little high, but the mix is light and fluffy. Seedlings got a great start.

Love that it's fine and does not pack down when watered, not sure how my seeds will like it as I just potted them.

I love to use this for my microgreens that I grow year round for my salads and smoothies! I also mix with my potting soil to start my plants for the garden

This seed starting mix started out fine. all my seeds came up and started growing well. But after about a month, my tomato plants stalled. I tried adding a little epsom salt water but they still looked awful and were only 1 1/2 inches tall and the leaves turned red. Thankfully I caught on that they needed fed so I repotted the all with compost mix and they have come back. So if you buy this, plan to add something to it for better soil quality.
