Sunvivi 28Qt Electric Roaster Oven with Visible Self-Basting Lid, Removable Pan & Rack, Temp Control, Stainless Steel Blue

This roaster works great. However, as mentioned in other reviews, you MUST "burn it in" 3-4 times without anything in it, preferably outside to get rid of the paint smell. After that it works great and is odorless. A minor inconvenience, but worth it to take the time up front to rid it of the obnoxious odor. A great product, that's why I gave it five stars.

A 26 quart oven for $68 is a great deal from Wal Mart.. This held two small turkeys and drumsticks. The first use can cause a bit of a burn smell from the heating elements but the contents in the pan were fine. It did not do it after the first few minutes. I have several of these pans and they will cook a turkey, hen or ham in a much quicker and easier to clean up method than the oven. You can use the roaster bags in these if you protect the bag from the rack by using a silicone mat. Don't let the bird touch the sides of the pan - it may sear it where it touches., depending on your heat setting. Using these roasters allows you to keep the oven open for keeping other dishes warm. We use 3 of these and several crock pots regularly to make meals for 50-100 folks. All the brands are about the same. I just replaced my first one that was over ten years old because someone knocked it off the counter. They are a good deal for the price. I have at least two of this brand, and no issues. Just please (all manufacturers) please use more contrast on the labels - it is hard to see black writing on a dark metal for older eyes.

I love how easy it is to use. Big enough for cooking for 12 people. Cook 2 roast with all the trimmings. Thank you.

Roasted Turkey and ham very well

Very difficult to clean but otherwise a good product. It gave off a paint smell at first but heats evenly and works as expected.

Smaller than expected. My old 22qt oster is about the same size so I decided to measure. Measurements don’t match item description. Not 25” long. More like 21”. Rack is also too small for the roaster. But what actually gets me is that there is no size identification marked on roaster, box or instructions which means there is no guarantee that you actually get what you paid for. My suspicion grew when I noticed 18Qt on the foam insert that was used for roaster protection in the box for shipping. Makes me wonder how a 28Qt roaster can fit into a 18qt foam insert. Something wrong with this picture. So after doing research found out Sunvivi makes one standard size rack. Explains why it doesn’t fit well. Also found out that Sunvivi owns the sister companies of RoyalCraft, Heynemo, SuperJoe etc so no matter what brand name you buy what you get is a Sunvivi roaster. Very deceiving.

I have bought this product once before and it worked great. I needed multiples of these so I ordered three more. I plugged in the new roaster and the smell of burning wires was strong. Then smoke started coming out between the blue metal and black permanent liner. now I've opened the second one and again the smell of burning wires. we use these to slow roast overnight but I'm terrified to leave them cooking during the night.

Came with bubbled non-stick coating on the insert. Also feels very light and cheap. Outer part looks great - inner pan and lid are very thin, cheap and defective coating. Will try another brand.
