NESCO® 9.5 Quart Electric Pressure Canner, Digital Pressure Cooker and Canning Pot, Equipment for Canning Meat and Vegetables

This digital canner takes most of the work out of the canning process. It is pretty much set it and forget it after it builds up pressure. If you are needing to process large amounts of product, this is not the canner for you. It only holds 5 regular and 4 wide mouth quarts. That works great for me as I have a small garden.

Have not used it yet but was so pleased to read about all the extra functions instructions seem easy enough to understand looking forward to giving this a go… was also pleased that a same rated extension cord could be used as I have limited counter space in my apartment

It is relatively small compared to the pressure canner my Mom used (only in the amount it holds).. I am a first time canner and lots of research later I ordered this pressure canner and now I am obsessed in canning... It will hold 4 large mouth pints... but if you can put in 3 large mouth and 2 regular mouth jars with no issues.. Same thing for the quart jars.. does not do the 1/2 gal jars (thank goodness). Follow the directions!! and it makes canning so much more easier than when my Mom canned. Remember to follow safety guidelines established by higher authorities i.e. length of time for each food (they are there for a reason!)... I love my pressure canner!!

I love the Product. I needed to buy a new one. But I had to have it shipped to my door. That was the Walmart arrangements. A Walmart associate left the almost 2-foot box on my 10" doorstep, leaving it suspended. I could bearly open the door. My husband and I are older. and can not get down the steps and bring it in unless we are outside of that door. To retrieve it. I had to go around my property to get the box since it blocked the storm door. I gave instructions to place the item on the mail pad beside the mail box outside the door and not on the steps, also to please ring the doorbell. It was left outside for almost 2 hours, suspended on the doorstep step hanging over the edge in front of my door. No knock, and the doorbell was not used. Nesco gets a (10) for making a great product.- Walmart's "delivery store associate" gets a (1 )for delivery. Bad business ethics. This is not the 1st time this has happened. The item would have become damaged if it had fallen. I will call Walmart headquarters. I recommend that if you can, purchase from a store and bring it home, if possible. If arrangements allow.

Although, it cannot make as many jars of canning items I am use to, I truly love this canner/cooker/etc ..it makes the process much easier and worry free not having to babysit the whole time...I am free to prep next batch for processing or whatever it is I need to do...the instructions are easy for all tasks, cleaning ie a breeze, and the pressure maintains throughout the process...I have not used it for rice since I have my small steamer pot and it's just me but I believe it would make rice beautifully... can't say enough good things about this product...LOVE IT!

Bought for canning and can only review for that function. Lid is difficult to close/open. Pressure function has failed twice when using quarts. LOUD and I stress LOUD continuous beeping once function starts which ruined food. Waterbath canned with no issue but didn't need it for that function.

I could not get enough water in it to water bath a pint jar. When you use the low pressure/steam it requires at least 4 cups water and that is not USDA tested. The water comes up the jars when it should only come up to the canning rack. I did not pressure cook anything in it. It is a small batch canner. I returned the item. I can do the same thing in a bigger quantity in my pots I already have.

Worked the first two times I used it as it is supposed to. After that, it would no longer do the E10 countdown as it would get too hot and build pressure too fast. I did contact customer support through NESCO and they are sending me a new unit as they believe it is defective.

I like it but they delivered it out back on high street the address was 5th ave that was the address on the packages not out back in back yard where there are other people live there so anybody could of taken my packages so I will not order from them again

Not a real pressure canner. After reading instructions you cannot can low acid food such as meats, green beans etc . Says pressure canner but really only water bath food. Not safe for pressure canning non acidic foods. Very disappointing as it was bought for a gift.
