Amazing supplement

BigBlue2007 July 7, 2021

One of the few supplements you know the ingredients are what they say they are because you can feel it work. Amazing supplement, highly recommend giving it a try. The added Glycine seems to make these more potent than the other brand I've tried. I read another review complain about the smell or an upset stomach. Not my experience with it at all. They have no smell, and as the directions say to take on an empty stomach with water so that's how I take it and have never had any adverse effects. I've been taking it daily for about 4 months now and it's by far my most effective supplement. I use consumer labs to check out their lab tests on supplement purity, and they haven't done one for GPLC yet but swanson is a respected brand and I know it's pure because if I forget to take it I certainly notice the difference.

Long term commitment needed

greg January 29, 2022

Men need to use this in large amounts for months. Not practical and expensive.

Kicks off my day!

Geoman 63 August 4, 2019

I used a national brand GPLC supplement to kick start my day for several years. When the national brand stopped producing it, I missed it. Then I discovered I could get it from Swanson. It seems to just as effective as the national brand was, and is less expensive.

Out of stock soon

Kathleen B November 18, 2020

Swanson seems to have made it their new job to run out of everything that they sell with their label on it. It is inexcusable the degree to which they run out of things and remain out of them for months. I am doing more and more of my business elsewhere as a result. I do not know who runs this company, but they should be working somewhere else if you want to remain in business. Do you people have any idea how much this is costing your company? It is inexcusable!

Seems to work well even after just a few days

Michael July 6, 2026

Noticed a difference after just a few days. It seems to be a quality version of l-carnitine, which works to help with energy, glucose control and recovery. Would definitely buy again.

Added ingredient

James M. March 10, 2020

Swanson's GPLC has an added ingredient that gives it a gross smell and upsets my stomach (I think it is calcium laurate). I have used many other brands that did not have this ingredient and smelled fine and didnt bother my stomach. I'm pretty sure it was added because GPLC is very hygroscopic (pulls water out of the air) and otherwise the caps get gummy inside, but I would prefer this to the stink and stomach turning effects. Other brands I can open the capsules and add them to my preworkout drink. These just make a disgusting, smelly, frothy mix that doesn't dissolve. And I'm 2 days outside of my return window, just my luck.
