Florida heat and our ac can't keep up, this window unit made a huge difference

Keeps tripping our circuit. Not easy to install and definitely a 2 person job. Screws are not long enough.

It is so loud even louder then my old one.

Bought the AC in May, end of August the AC stopped working and sprayed this red gas out. Called Walmart as I had purchased there. They told me I had to contact TCL which I did. They asked me to send receipt and pictures and videos. All provided!! The contacted me and asked me to write void on the serial sticker and cut the cord. That upon the receipt of those pictures they would replace the unit with a 12000 unit for the inconvenience. I was out of town and explained to them that I wouldn't return to the place where the unit was at. 22 days later when I sent them the pictures they had requested. They told me they could no longer replace the AC and give me what they promised. That all they can do is give me my money back and it would take 30days from the date of receipt of pictures. Horrible warranty and deceiving company.

Have had it only a couple weeks and it makes tons of rattling noises. Noises started only after a few days. Spend the money and get a better brand.

Buyer Beware - piece of junk. bought mine at Wallyworld last summer and worked fine for the rest of that year, Now it only works when it wants to, like having a mind of its' own. Doesn't matter if the timer is set or not, it just cuts on and off at will. Sometimes it will work for an entire day, and then just shuts off for no reason and when it does decide to come back on the temperature has changed so it has to be reset. Most likely a piece of crap Chinese control board.

Unit is one year old + 3 months - just enough time to be out of warranty. Not reliable as it doesn't run continuously, cuts off and will only restart if I disconnect it from the power and let it sit for an hour. I tried setting the timer for 24 hours and it still cuts off intermittently. I did verify that "ECO" mode is off. Sometimes it will run for a couple of days, but when it starts its' "intermittent" thing it will cut off and on at will and is really aggravating on hot days/nights.

I am truly disappointed in this window unit. It was purchased it in April this year, 2025, and by June it was spewing a rust-colored substance on the outside housing. Thinking it just may have been normal wear and tear, I reasoned that I would clean it at the end of the season, so, I left it alone. Last night I heard a noise I had not noticed before and peeped in through the air vent but didn't see anything. This morning, I looked in again and gasped at what I saw. The blades are black with mold and it's growing on the Styrofoam housing. I turned it off and opened the drain plug to let it dry out and the coil in that area is solid rust!
