I ordered this product and it came sooner than expected. It is rather small compared to my other smart tv, but everything about it is AWESOME! It didn't take long for me to set it up. The downside is you have to set up a Roku account to use it, but other than that, it's a mazing little tv. The sound goes all the way up to 100@ AWESOME!!!
Purchased to use in new camp trailer and fits nicely. Impressed by how it easily it connected to the wifi in the house. Nice picture. Thought I would need to buy a sound bar but the sound is more than sufficient for the trailer.
I have only had this TV for a little over a week, but I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Although I live in a rural area where I can't do a lot of streaming, I wanted a TV that I could easily switch from one source to another which this RokuTV does. I will soon be dropping my satellite provider and going to a roof antenna, DVD's, and a little streaming and I was amazed at how quick and easy everything was to set up. In less than an hour, I had the satellite dish connected, the TV searched for and found 16 free stations from the antenna, I had it hooked to the Wi-Fi, and had my Netflix account coming in. I haven't yet used it with the DVR or ancient VHS, but I'm sure it won't pose any problems and if it does, I'll call the support number. Picture is clear and sound is good. The only thing that disappointed me was the size. I measured the space and ordered what I thought was the largest size that would fit in the allotted space. Turns out, 28" is really 25" so I could have gotten the 32" TV, dang!
i love that this model has so many choices from free to watch tv stations, to pay monthly for sites like hulu and/or netflix.
Works great I have 3 of these no problems, use the spectrum app on it and return the cable box to spectrum and save the rental monthly fee.
I have had this television for a week now and absolutely love it. The picture is fantastic and the speakers put out much better sound than most small tv's. It is very light weight and extremely easy to set up. My cable remote worked flawlessly with it immediately! I like the fact that all the channels like Netflix and You Tube are built in. I would definitely buy the same brand in a larger size for my bedroom!
TINY remove!! The lack of numbers make it so you have to get into your apps and choose what you want EVERY single time! You cannot adjust color, only make it lighter or darker. I am STILL trying to get mine to "find" my satellite dish and put it on but it just WON'T recognize it!! I will do a LOT more research before I buy another TV and it won't be one of these.
If you want a TV that turns on fast, or a TV that automatically goes direct to TV mode, then this is not the TV you want. This TV is designed for someone that needs a small set and for the person that lives primarily on streaming. Since I do not use streaming, I cannot say if any of the clients that are built-in work well, or at all. Setup is not easy at all. I found that I absolutely needed a wireless network AND a Roku account. Without a wireless network the set cannot get to the setup section. The same is true for a Roku account. I found I needed to link the set to a Roku account before I can get to the main setup. One I got past both of those hurdles, I will never use either with the TV again. But a TV out of the box should NOT require Internet access and account creation or linkage. As far as the TV itself, the picture seems decent. The speakers have a cheap quality to them and are definitely lacking. This should not be your TV of choice if you want to have good sound. This TV has one redeeming feature: the size. There are so few sets that are 28 inches diagonal width. If it weren't that I have an opening that needs that size set, this TV would be returned.
This is the most cheaply put together TV i have purchased. TCL corporation has no customer service that understands the English language which means you are not getting warranty on their items. Will never consider any product sold by TCL again. lasted 8 months and its my fault it will not connect to antenna. Will they survive competition??
The remote does not have numbers so you have to change channels by the up/down buttons. There is no way to block channels you don't watch so you have to scroll through every channel to get to the one you want to reach. The sensors are weak. To turn it off/on, you have to be *directly* in front of it. Additionally, it doesn't pick up all the channels other televisions in the house pick up even though they are all connected to the same antenna. If it were still priced at $125, I'd say you get what you pay for, but with the price hike, I don't think it's worth it.
