A fine and dandy converter
Plenty fine for the price and my use case, 1080p video is clean with no noticed defects, however I can't verify if audio comes across cleanly as I am purely using it for video.

Cheap , but not very good for gaming
Bought this to hookup my gaming pc to my 32" ASUS RoG Strix monitor. Do not buy this cable for gaming. The refresh rate is terrible (60hz). I followed the one way hookup instructions from DP Port on my card to the HMDI on my monitor and the maximum refresh rate I was able to apply was only 60 Hz. My monitor is setup for 280 Hz refresh rate.

I originally selected a USB to HDMI cable but this wasn't that (Display port to HDMI). Returning to store tomorrow.

Defective Out of the Box
I bought this cable to connect a new second monitor to my computer, but unfortunately it never worked. I spent quite a bit of time troubleshooting because at first I assumed the issue was with the new monitor, my computer settings, or one of the ports. After testing different connections and trying the cable with more than one monitor, I still couldn't get a signal with it. To rule everything else out, I bought another DisplayPort-to-HDMI cable of the same type from a different brand. The replacement worked immediately with the same computer and monitor without any additional troubleshooting, so the onn cable I received appears to have simply been defective out of the box. The packaging didn't look opened, damaged, or previously used, so I don't think I received a return. It seems like I just got a bad cable. I returned it and wouldn't purchase this particular one again.
