Request for review came after only 5 opportunities to use it. I was hesitant to purchase as there a lot of negative reviews, but took the chance. I have used it in our Ninja (grilling and Air Crisp modes), in our conventional oven, and out door grilling. No problem in the remote senser connection. Only thing I am not happy about is the alarm beep, when temperature is reached, is very quiet. Can't have any other ambient noise going at same time or it wii never be heard. Must be hit and miss on getting some that don't work, as "so far" ours works fine.
I already had a wireless probe, but the batter wouldn't last through a 20 hour smoke/cook. this one seems to last much longer. It's nice that it has two probes, and I can set one for the ambient temp of the smoker/grill to make sure my fire is still good. Wish it had the ability to work with an app.
We have gone through several grilling thermometers, and I'll have to say that if anything ever happens to this one, I'm ordering another exactly like it. So easy to use and the wireless probe is fantastic!! The thermometer is a little bit off from the last one we had so we had a bit of a learning curve with this one but it's so easy to use and easy to clean up, that it's worth every penny.
I have a few different temperature sensors from ThermoPro for a reason. High quality accurate probes and temp gauges at good prices and a company that stands up to the products they sell. Would certainly buy again.
My first few digital remotes were whatever I could find locally and usually fairly expensive. After all of them failed in a year or less, I started buying cheap ones online. While they usually lasted longer and were fairly accurate, they were a royal pain to set up. Having used ThermoPro instant reads for several years with good results, and finding a great price on this unit, ordered it. What a difference! The interface is so intuitive that about the only thing I consulted the manual for was how to set the low temperature alarm. Everything else was well defined. Nice long probe leads and great accuracy, along with sturdy construction set this apart from most every other I've tried. I'd recommend this to anyone without reservation. Great product, even at the retail price.
I had a different one (from a different company), and it was okay. This one is just better all around. I can be in my living room with the control module, which works well (over 100'). It gets the temperature right and doesn't fall apart (the last one had its probes come undone after a year). It's great for the price.
works great, has good bluetooth range, accurate with 2 degrees
it takes cooking to a whole new level
works great and accurate temperature readings
Easy to use
