I had a swarm of ants try and move in all over the property. In the driveway, yard and house. They were everywhere and we could smell the pheromones in places they wer so bad. I had gotten some raid bait stations because the store replaced it due to terro being sold out, put them all over the house and the ants had no interest in them at all. I had ordered terro bait stations thinking that I was out of what I had ordered from last year. Thankfully I found a whole box that I had completely forgotten I had stashed away. I placed the terro bait right next to the raid bait and the ants marched straight to the terro immediately and they swarmed it so much I put out more than what I had originally placed. In only 24 hours all the ants are almost totally gone so I ordered the shaker bags for my yard. I got four thinking it wouldn't go very far but I only used one bag to go around the whole house and the driveway. I'll probably use one more to cover my whole yard and then save the other two for next year. Great quality, simple to use, effective and not expensive. You guys really hit it out of the park on quality and the accidental replacement of the terro with raid really showcased the difference.
Had a specially designed bag so no other applicator products/tools were needed, just open the bag and shake it as you walk to apply to the lawn. Seemed to kill the ants around my house, but one big pile of ants remained. I haven't tried a second application yet. Also had Orkin come out and spray the yard and they were not able to get rid of the ant pile either - so far.
I have used Terro products in the past mostly the gel bait for ants inside the house which worked well enough. But this outside ant-killer seems to really work quite good, I'm kinda impressed. And the shaker bag design is brilliant and works perfect without issue, so far. When used properly it does not take very much to eliminate a mound and the mounds don't just seem to pop back up as has been noted in the past using other outside ant killers. I would say give it a try as it's about $7.00 for a 3lb bag. And follow the instructions as this is key to using granule ant killers.
Man, I had ants all over my garden, I moved a pot and put some down. Those ants scattered like it was fire, I went to put some on another spot and the ants in the original spot were gone. I do not know if they went back to the colony or not. We will see if there are any ant out there tomorrow. If so, there will be an update!!
I had carpenter ants in the tree in my backyard. the guy at the tree service recommended this bait. I bought it, and applied it as he suggested. the tree is no longer losing branches like it was before, so I believe the problem is solved. I will continue treating my yard to prevent the return of these stubborn ants.
I put this along the entire boarder of my house and then sprinkled the spots of the lawn with those existing ants. I used a leaf blower to get rid of the anthills and bang…… No more ANTS!! my lawn looks great and I haven't seen any pesky bugs. Took a few bags but very happy with the results.
This product has a perforated resealable bottom that makes spreading the granules very easy. Applied directly to an ant mound and those ants immediately went crazy and tried to remove it from their mound. The mound is completely abandoned with no activity anywhere in at least a 36" radius.
at the bus stop I frequent. this bag has its own Shaker part inside. so you just open it up and then you shake the product onto the ant beds. then you take your plant water bottle and you water the area but you don't run off the product. so far so good. yes I could have called Metro to have them fix the situation. but I use Metro almost daily. so I just took care of the problem myself. and this size bag was reasonable. it also gets fire ants. where I wait for the bus there's two different kinds of ants there.
This didn't solve my ant problem but my yard is full of ant mounds. But this did help create a barrier around the outside of my house. I do recommend this product cause I feel it could really help with a normal problem as it has helped with my problem
about this, hoping that it would really help our ant issues. It was pretty bad during the summer. We have used a yard pest control. We have also used ant baits. Neither have given us great results. This was pretty easy to use really straightforward. However, it really didn't help our ant issues.
