This fall, my garden was suddenly overrun with hundreds of fire ants, endlessly working night and day in their tiny ant army, carrying whatever minuscule they could back to their central headquarters outside. We were faced with a tiny ant plague and outnumbered by the thousands. I first tried a competitor's bait stations: completely ineffective. Thank God for Terro Ant Killer! If anything the claims the company makes about this product are too modest. Instead of having to wait days or weeks to know if our weapon was effective, Terro provided results immediately: the ants went right to the product it was the best thing they'd ever encountered, like ant crack. They just couldn't get enough of it and called all of their compatriots in to celebrate and partake. Even when their ant comrades started to become listless and unresponsive, these ants couldn't help themselves! They wanted more -- and the more they consumed, the more they wanted. Soon they all succumbed to their insatiable desire for Terro, and the territory had been won back by its human occupants.

We followed the directions on the container: Kept the poison out of the elements by covering it with a piece of wood, put the poison near the nest of ants but not on the nest, and did not disturb the poison once it was in place. After a week, there were few ants to be seen, not the hundreds that were seen before the poison was put down. Did the job. Will be putting his stuff all around the house to protect further infestation.
