I think you should spring for a region One Blu-Ray release in the states because they have a blue Ray release overseas in either UK but not in the US but overall the quality is great in the service is great too please keep movies affordable online

So glad to find this original movie for my grandson. His father watched growing up.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this on the shelves! Fun low budget fantasy series. Love the books.

I bought this as a gift and was delivered sooner than had been stated it would, which I was very happy about.

I love this series! Brings me back to my childhood. A family favorite!

Just as suspected Very entertaining

I am apalled at the first review on here. People in animal costumes (and not animation) equals a bad film? So by that logic films like Star Wars or the Wizard of Oz are bad too? Really? Animation does NOT a quality film make. It's about heart, emotion, production, cast, photography, editing...and so on. A lot of work went into these films and they deserve more attention then that. I grew up with this series. They split it apart into tv specials on Disney channel in the early 90s and I had them all taped. I was so happy to find a affordable dvd to replace my old childhood VHSs. In The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, the wicked witch is so animated and the kids (throughout the series) are so in touch with those emotions like jealousy, curiosity, and joy. They did an amazing job. I love all the props and landscape in these films. The world of Narnia feels so real and there's ton to explore. Especially in the Dawn Treader. Aslan looks so much better than the obvious digital version of the new series. It's not as fast paced as the new films, it follows more of the pace of the books which is truer to what CS Lewis intended. Also. I priced compared elsewhere and this was the cheapest version I found. Thanks for carrying a child hood treasure that my kids can enjoy for years to come.

Stays loyal to the source material, the affects may be dates but that was what was what they had during that era and is was a very big production for what they had and before any stage plays or big movie they had. The earliest stage version that was accesiable to the public for community, school are collegewas the mid to late 90s. And the 2005 waters down a lot of CS Lewis’s words. Basically an onscreen book.

Good for younger kids. It comes in episodes. Visual effects are old.

These are the BBC Mini-Series versions of Narnia made in the 1980s, NOT THE DISNEY REMAKES! (Disney never even made the Silver Chair, so this fact should be fairly obvious, but clearly some of my fellow reviewers are confused.) I bought it because the only copies of this I've ever had were the original VHS boxset sold in the 90s. If you are an old enough Narnia fan to remember the old BBC versions of Narnia with the animatronic lion and the waddling weeble-wobble-like beaver costumes, this is THAT version. If you want Disney's lovely (but not quite as faithful to the books) version, this will dissappoint you. That said, I docked a star for the poor quality of the printing on the DVDs and the overall cheapness of the set. An insert would have been nice. DVDs that were clearly printed would have been nice. But the video is very watchable and just as I remember it (and it was only $12 for the set, much cheaper than the boxset I bought years ago), so it's very good for what it is.
