At first I was unsure of the flavor of the sauce but once heated and added to pasta I thought it tasted great. I have since used it with chicken and most recently raw veggies. I heat it slightly in the microwave and use it as a dip for raw carrots and broccoli. It is a healthier option than traditional veggie dips and tastes good (less sugar, sodium, fat and no artificial ingredients).
I tried it out of curosity after seeing it pop up in a pinterest ad. I decided pairing it with some "fresh" pasta raviolis from Walmart deli, one a lemon flavored cheese filling and another i cabt pronounce and tgey are delicious. If you live alone a jar will actully cover both products nicely. The jars are smaller then regular store bought pasta sauces but still worth it.
I was kind of surprised to see reviews that called the sauce bland. I thought it was really good. I found mine to be lemony and garlicky. I didn't feel the need to add anything to it. I ate it on Fettuccine. I didn't pay attention to the size of the jar though. It's small. You need 2 jars for one family sized meal. $15 on jarred sauce for one meal is a little on the high end for me. I might buy it again though.
I love this sauce! It is delicious in a pasta dish , rice dish, or over anything! I dont eat meat but I buy the great value veggie lasagna , sprinkle feta cheese on top and pour the tasty lemon sauce over that and bake it. I eat it with garlic toast! Its yummy😋
This is, as the Pasta Queen says, JUST GORGEOUS. As an enormous lemon enjoyer, this was beyond satisfying, and so natural in its taste where the lemon is neither sugary sweet or unpleasantly sour. It is the peak of the tang and zest lemon has as God intended, and it is the star in this as it ought to be. It is truly refreshing, and I was genuinely sad when I was done eating it with pappardelle. It needed nothing but pasta to pair with (boiled in salted water), and it has a rich yet nearly airy texture that does not sit heavy in the guts, with a taste that brings you to the seaside with the briny scent in the air. Yes, I do romanticize this sauce, and I intend to do it again (and at just 110 calories a serving) when I eat it for the next week straight.
I've gone through 8 jars recently. I've been making pasta primavera with fresh sauteed veggies, lemon juice, and this sauce with capers. It's perfect!! It tastes better than it smells when you open the jar. It pares amazingly with bruschetta chicken, seafood, or coles cheesestick bread! Adding fresh squeezed lemon juice is a must 😋 All praise the Pasta Queen for this Lemon Temptress sauce!!!! (Her arabbiatta is a good one, too!)
This product had a nice creamy texture and heated easily to be poured over pasta. However, I needed to add lemon and a few other herbs to bring it to my personal taste. I felt like it was very pricey for the jar size, but it was convenient to have it available.
As a self-proclaimed “lemon head,” I was eager to try this sauce the moment I saw it. The word lemon (especially in a pasta sauce) was all I needed to see because anything lemon has my name on it. Unfortunately, this sauce was a fail for me. The texture was not as thick as I had hoped; the sauce had an off flavor about it. Yes, there is a distinct lemon flavor present, but there is also something else and it leaves an unpleasant aftertaste in your mouth. I would not recommend this sauce nor will I purchase it again. I am shocked that I typed those words about anything lemon, but this sauce did not live up to my expectations. I am satisfied now that I tried it once, and that is enough.
If I could give a lower rating, I would. I love lemon so I thought this would hit the spot. I couldn't taste any lemon at all. Bland as could be. The only way to give it any flavor was was to douse it in Italian seasoning, S%26P, and mozzarella cheese. Just pour milk over your pasta and save your money
Wow, I was really looking forward to this and I was deeply disappointed. I've been following her for years on social media and I've used her recipes in the past so when she came out with a signature sauce, I was beyond excited. Once I made my dish and tried it, it was awful. Possibly one of the worst sauces I've tried. It was watery and bland, zero flavor. Then I looked at the ingredients and they were crappy. This wasn't just my feedback but my husband and sons too. I wish this was a better sauce, I feel like she has so much more potential but this just seems like a sell out move. This review is for the 2 flavors I bought.
