This is a perfect size. I was canning leftover vegetables and chicken to make soup and 12 quarts fit in this pot perfectly So happy and it is absolutely beautiful.
When old reliable stockpot (30 years) was too sticky to continue, and since I have enjoyed The Pioneer Woman's offerings in other pans, I decided to put a burst of flowers pot to the test. I'm very pleased. Easy to cook in, easy to clean. Yes, enamel can chip and break, but metal can dent, and stain. I would recommend the stockpot especially to those of us who are desperately eager for a little spring beauty after what has seemed like eternal sniffly, snuffly, gray, gloomy, and bitter winter.
I read the reviews that said that this pot was really big. Well guess what it's really big. It's perfect for large families. There is just one of me but I make big pots of soup and share with my neighbors and I also freeze some. This pot is so pretty that I keep it on my stove top, it would be a shame to put something so pretty in a cabinet. I like the weight of it because it will not be to heavy to handle. The cleanup is easy, just make sure if you get a spill on the outside of it wipe it off asap so it doesn't burn on it. It doesn't say to do this, this is just sixty-five years of cooking and cleaning. If your looking for a large pot and at a reasonable price then this is it. I also did not find any damage to my pot. I received it really fast.
Yes, flat bottom! That is the key bit of information that I would guess most people looking to purchase an enamel on steel pot is looking for. See, most of us have at least one of those blue speckled enamel stock pots on hand, right? There's a huge problem with those. If you've got an electric or glass top stove, they don't really work so well as the bottoms of those pots are not flat, they have a ridge all the way around making heat transfer terrible. Enter this Pioneer Woman 12 quart stock pot! Perfectly flat bottom, compatible with any stove you've got. And really, it's quite a nicely finished pot. Perfectly smooth enamel, no chips at all, nice hollow handles so they stay cool and a handle on the lid as well. Has a vintage-style pot belly shape which is rather impressive as well. They did leave a nice shiny rim around the edge of the lid and edge of the top of the pot which is a nice touch (and nice to prevent the chips that would develop there). 12 quarts, so plenty big enough to stick a chicken in there with a bunch of other stuff. Very good pot! You won't be disappointed with this thing. Go ahead and make the biggest batch of chicken noodle soup you've ever wanted to make. It'll handle it. Fully recommended!
I am in love with this Pioneer Woman twelve quart stock pot in vintage floral design. Not only is it a beautiful charming pot but it is huge! It is large enough to make a meal for more than twelve people. It is perfect for making a huge pot of homemade soup or chili or stew or chicken and dumplings etc. for a large family or gathering. The floral appliqué design on the front of the pot and on the lid is so bright and cheery and colorful. The two handles on each side of the stock pot make it easy to lift and remove from the cook stove. It is a heavy duty pot and well made. I haven't had a large gathering yet for a huge batch but to try it out I made a ‘one pot' of soup and used ground burger and it browned evenly and the soup cooked up perfectly and the pot was so easy to clean afterward. I hand washed it with ease. Please note that on the bottom of the pot it states hand wash only. Along with “As useful as it is gorgeous” and that is true! It is definitely a gorgeous pot. You won't want to store it in a cabinet but show it off by placing it where everyone can see. It goes perfectly with the popular decor of using brights and colors along with muted tones in your kitchen and there are plenty of Pioneer Woman items to mix and match with this beautiful pot.
~everything tastes better when i cooking in The Pioneer woman enamel pot.....pleasantly surprised..my favorite Pot for soup 🍲 🫠❤️🔥
Its pretty 🌸it seemed while cooking spaghetti it took.longer to cook, perhaps type of metal in cookware.. Pattern, is a nice design, stock.pot is all durable. Thanks ; now added a nice piece to my collection.
We needed a bigger pot for soups and love rhe design of the pioneer woman kitchen lines so went with this one. We have a coil stove we use it with and have noticed the bottom is very thin and it tends to stick/burn contents to the bottom on rhe regular. We now just use it for things like pasta, potatoes etc that boil in water vs soups and sauces to avoid the burning bottom. It does wash easily by hand and in the dishwasher. That said if you plan on cooking on a coil stove with it and making soups get yourself some dawn powerwash spray to make cleaning the burnt bottom easier!
This is a beautiful stock pot, but my soup still stuck to the bottom. I am going to see if Pam or other non-stick spray will help that. It is a beautiful pot that I like to keep on my counter as a display. It holds all ingredients for Corned Beef and Cabbage with full size ingredients; do not have to reduce my recipe to accommodate a smaller pot. All in all a wonderful purchase!
if i could give it a zero i would, its prettt alright. this pot has burnt beans, chillie multiple times on low heat very very very very poor
