Thera-Med Back Cold Pack Cold Therapy, Large

This is my third one. I have back and neck issues that icing helps. This is two-sided. The white side is colder (great for my back) and the blue side is not quite as cold (great for my back and shoulder) Reason this is my third, is because they get a LOT of use. They do last for years. This is a great size as well and the "gel?" inside keeps the pack cold for 40 minutes

I wish I had known about this product sooner. It covers the entire area where I have pain, remains cold for a long time, fits perfectly to my back (I have a slight case of scoliosis so this is really something to have a cold pack to form to that), and lays flat in the freezer. Does not take long to refreeze so I can reuse in 4-6 hours if needed. I have used several ice packs and was not pleased with any of them. This is the only brand I will ever buy again.

My husband bought two of these cold packs for his back pain. He's going to use them after he has surgery, as well. They work very well, and we recommend them highly. They were a great price and well worth the money spent! We shopped around and compared this product by size and price. Walmart had the best deal by far!

Have not found this quality at any local drug stores. Just like my therapist uses. Great plyable,blue side for reduced cool contact, white side for intense cold.

I use this for hot flashes . I dont know what I would do without it . It is a must have when you have a hysterectomy . I also put it on the incision site on my belly . It helps the pain and swelling . Excellent product !

It took me a while to find this back pad and it was worth the trouble and time spent searching. It is very well made and stays cold long enough to bring much needed relief to an aching back. I would not hesitate to recommend this product.

I have put this on my back on the blue side and after 15 min. Had to take it off because it was too cold and made my back worse. Next time I will wrap it in a towel and I'm sure it will be much better. I like the way it can be rolled in 1/2 or rolled up all the way. You can use it anywhere because it is so flexable.

This is the third Thera-Med Back Pad I have purchased. I use the pad to relieve pain from osteoarthritis of the spine pending treatment. I have also used it for several years for temporary relief of chronic back pain. The secret is to determine the source of the pain. In my case, the pain originates in the disc between the 4th and 5th lumbar vertebrae. The pain radiates down my legs to my feet. My theory is that the cold on the lumbar are reduces swelling and takes the pressure off of the nerves that cause the pain. I use it at night when I lay don to sleep. I use smaller cold packs during the day on the lumbar region held in place by a back brace. The only negative that I have found is that the plastic welds that hold the sections together are weak at the sides and eventually leak the material inside the back pad. The welds need to be strengthened. This pad has provided me temporary relief for years. It works for me. I recommend that you try it.

Great relief for degenerative disk lumbar and hip pain! Big enough to give relief to entire area without readjusting. Only stays cold about 20 minutes but that is how long doctors recommend anyway.
