it turns itself off, not cycle which I didn't realize. so it's potentially not helpful if people sleep longer than I do. but it kinda perfectly runs out of heat right around when I wake up. every two hours. not sure what the actual timing is, box is long gone. the light is bright enough to see the general glow if you forgot to count while turning it on. so you don't have to get out of your comfy position, just follow cord to the buttons. the plastic was sub par quality and wrinkles and bunches to easy if you're using pad under you. but the cover is much nicer and fluffier allmost stuffed animal fluffy. so that kind of balances it out. the length of cord shouldn't require extension unless you're in a super old home. haven't washed yet so I can't comment on that, but I don't think it's going to be an issue. all over, .Id be willing to buy again for adding heating pads for TNR colony next winter. except that they don't cycle, but maybe they have a more expensive one that does. I always test a new brand out with me. if my weight and movement doesn't require hot spots that damage skin and my foster fails don't get hurt, then I feel safer leaving them on overnight outside.
Easy to use; like settings and how it shuts off after a certain time so if you forget to turn it off, it shuts itself off. Definitely would recommend to others.
I had knee surgery. I needed a heat pad to alternate with ice packs. I am in love with the ease of use. I used this now for 4 months. Several times a day. It will wrap around the knee ( and mine are thicker).
I got this it is awesome it covers my hips all thwe way up my back and neck using the moist heat makes my arthritis feel so much better
This is perfect size for me. Also, it is good for moist heat. Like this very much. I use it for my back mostly.
Perfect size!!! It also has an automatic shutoff after a certain amount of time which is a plus
I tried other brands and it seems TheraCare ones are the best. This is my second one. It's hard plastic with a cover on it which can be remove for washing. Not as soft as some of the others ones made in China. Heats evenly - just wish the controls were easier. You can only move in one direction so if you are on low you can't turn it off without going to Med-Hi-and then off... would have been nice to be able to turn it off from the low mode. The TheraCare is good since I can put it on lowest setting to warm my feet in bed and know it will shut off in 2 hrs. The others I purchased and tried were not very good. One got really hot no matter whether I had it on lo med or hi - it was always burning hot! Its excellent product for the cost. As said earlier, I have the 12x24 and the 12x12. I purchased the warranty with it so that if it goes wrong I can get replacement or money back! All electric products do well with the additional warranty!
Our house is cold so I mostly use it while watching TV. Also comes in handy for those aches and pains!
it's a fine heating pad, just not large enough for my needs.
didn't really like the cover, but hey, it works great.
