Thyme & Table 12" x 18" Acacia Wood SoHo Cutting Board

Acacia wood cutting board Large size. 18 inches long by 12 inches wide It has a very beautiful color and grain with a smooth finish. It seems to be pre-conditioned. There's a groove along the top of the board to catch liquids. There are routed groove handles on each short end. There are rubber feet on the bottom which prevents the board from sliding around on your countertop. Their brand name it engraved on the lower right-hand side of the board. Acacia wood is supposed to be a very durable hard-wood. This cutting board is made of very good quality wood. You can tell just by looking at it. It sits firmly and straight, no wobbling around. I love it and plan to keep it for a long, long time by maintaining it with proper cleaning, oiling, and conditioning. This needs to be done to keep the wood from drying out and cracking. Don't soak it in the sink or put it in the dishwasher! It will cause your board to swell and even warp. Just every 2 weeks or once a month, wash your cutting board all over, the undersides, edges, everything. Dab it dry with a towel then let it dry overnight standing up-right. The next day apply a small amount of food-grade mineral oil or butcher block oil in the direction of the wood grain, just enough to cover the wood with an even coat. Let it soak in the oil for at least 3 hours up-right. Once that's done you can apply food-grade wood cutting board cream in a thin layer all over the board, let it sit overnight standing up-right. Someone told me that to get rid of odors like garlic or onion from the board to sprinkle my board with salt, cut a lemon in half, then scrub the board with the lemon halves and squeezing as you go. Anyway, I love this board and I think you will as well.

This cutting board is really, really nice! This wooden cutting board is made by Thyme and Table and is made from acacia wood. This is not a dishwasher safe cutting board. It says hand wash only. It boasts that it is made for everyday use. It is made in China, but says it is “responsibly made in China”......whatever that means. We are currently using it in our motor home and it is the perfect size. It measures eighteen inches in length by twelve inches in width. It looks to be roughly one inch thick. It stores really well in this small space. It has handles on both sides and a juice collector along all of the edges. It is heavy duty and feels extremely sturdy. I will be looking for another one of these for my house that is a little bigger. I will definitely be looking for other things by Thyme and Table after using this cutting board.

This is a big cutting board and a little heavy. Made out of awesome wood. I have not used it yet but it will come in handy for when my husband fillets his fish he catches.

18" x 12", huge, can do any cutting on it. Very solid, if you see the depth, surprising and very tough. Researched a little about Acacia Wood, it helps little and anti-bacteria, which good for food prep. You got definitely check the photos, you would love it. Also 4 cusion on cornor of bottom side, helps to protect your table, granite top, well-designed. Compare to others, this is the best choice you could have.

This is a beautifully crafted cutting board and adds a bit of elegance whether it is out on my counter or used as a serving piece on my table. The Acacia wood produces a gorgeous woodgrain finish. The first thing that drew me to this cutting board was the groove that was carved around the entire board, preventing juices from dripping off the board onto the counter. I love the size. There is plenty of room to chop different vegetables while keeping them separate from one another. The board is a good weight and stays in place when in use. Definitely an upgrade from my previous board. I proudly leave this board out on display when not in use and would recommend to anyone.

I was not aware that this cutting board was as big as what it is when you get it and see it in real life. It's pretty big but it's nice well-made very easy to clean. I'm glad that I purchased this item. You should too.

I keep a cutting board for protection on my counter work area at all times so it needs to be functional and look good, this fits the bill. It is just the right size and looks great. Nice, barely visible handles and rubber feet keep it from sliding. The 1" thickness is just right also. Not too cumbersome to wash. Gave it a coat of coconut oil and the woidgrain is pretty and deep. My only issue is it is off kilter a little and has a slight wobble.

I've used this a few times for chopping vegetables, it's a thick 18X12 wooden board made of Acacia wood. My issue with the board is that it rocks when chopping, it has grips on the bottom but I have tried this board on 3 different counter tops and it rocks. I like that it has handles and its grooved for catching juices. Its not dishwasher safe but easy to hand wash, other than the minor issue of rocking it's an okay cutting board.

This is just such a gorgeous cutting board. The wood is smooth and the color is a reddish brown. This is a great piece to use for hosting. It would present very well and look great as a cheese board. This is a thick cutting board and very sturdy. It also have small groove around it to catch liquid. My one issue was that it scratches easily. The first time I used it was for bread and it didn't take much to mark the board up. They weren't deep scratches, but it really couldn't be avoided even as we tried to cut lightly. After a while, I think it will give the board character and add to its beauty. Overall, I really do love the look of the cutting board and love that it adds character and sophistication to my kitchen and serving collection.

Nice product and price point. Wanted to replace my plastic cutting board what with micro bits of plastic apparently getting into food. So this is meant to be a kitchen tool, not a serving board for charcuterie (though you could do that of course). If you are mindful of defects, take a good hard look at it through the cellophane wrap when purchasing; mine has a defect and the drip tray part has a section that's rough and unsanded (see photos). Silicone feet work well and the size is perfect.
