l ike that powder comes in a corrugated box which can be recycled easily (rather than a liquid which comes in a plastic container and who knows if it can really be recycled AND I am not paying for water in the liquid version) AND we get almost year's worth of laundry from the box.
I have used Tide as my washing detergent for almost 30 years. The clothes get very clean and the Tide detergent rinses out of the clothes - no residue left in the clothes. I would not change - Tide is my detergent.
Tide powder cleans well, even in cold water. I switched from liquid to powder because it comes in a cardboard box so it’s recyclable. I learned that the colored plastic bottles are not always recycled. Very few facilities actually accept them so they end up in the landfills. Having a family of five we go through our share of detergent. It’s a small thing but we gotta start somewhere.
I feel like this works just as well as the liquid version. I initially bought the powder to cut down on the amount of plastic bottles our household goes through. My husband is picky about smells, and he likes the original tide smell. Depending on how your machine loads, put the powder on the bottom/first before your clothes go in to prevent any residue. I found when I would add the powder last to the load sometimes there would be residue left on some of the clothes and sides of the washer. Adding it first eliminated this problem.
I purchased this because I follow a cleaning based Instagram page. They’re motto for cleaning is “tide, bleach, water” and oh boy I have loved this tide powder ever since buying it. I used it for laundry, mopping floors (HOT water, bleach and tide), I used when scrubbing down tubs, showers, toilets. It smells so good and lasts about 24 hours when cleaning with it. I’m okay with that because I don’t like long lingering smells. I would recommend purchasing it!
I'm absolutely delighted with Walmart's Tide washing powder! The scent is wonderful and leaves my clothes smelling fresh and clean. But what really impresses me is its excellent washing performance. It effectively removes tough stains and leaves my clothes looking vibrant and clean.
For my HE washer this is my go-to brand for detergent. I switched from liquid and this does not lead to that 'pond-smell' problem. Cleans really well, no residue, and gets the stains out on the first wash. Highly recommend but use only 2T per load in an HE washer.
Are you concerned about using less plastic? Using powdered laundry detergent is an easy way to do just that. And Tide powdered laundry detergent is the same good stuff that our parents and grandparents used and kept their clothes squeaky clean and in great condition.
You pay for only soap, not water, when you buy this product. I have a conventional old Speed Queen washer that's 20 years old. It gets clothes exceptionally clean. And it can use powdered soap. I've used Tide original for eons. It doesn't have any overpowering or gagging odor, and it never irritates my skin. I think they kept the perfumes to a minimum in this.
Tried %26 true classic is right. Look I’ll be the first one to tell you that ima powder laundry detergent guy %26 I’d rather have the oxi ultra version of this but none the less if this is in stock %26 the preferred isn’t this still does a solid job with a great scent.
