I use the powder for multiple reasons. First off, I'm not paying for water in liquid version. I can't stand the pods. The last thing I want is plastic deteriorating into my clothes. When my 2 youngest kids were growing up they were very sensitive to detergents. If it wasn't TIDE then they'd break out in a rash. IMO if this is gentle enough for that reaction it's a plus in my book. The powder is CHEAPER, need less, and goes a lot longer way. It dissolves easily, even cold water. Laundry always comes out clean and fresh. I hope they NEVER stop making the powder. I've been using it for 30 years and plan on it till I die. I would highly recommend this product and Walmart sells it a great price. * Hope this review helped at least 1 person =)
4th gen Tide Consumer. my great grandma, grandma, mom, and myself have used this product. it is simply the best. I tried to use other brands and they are just touching the surface. Not to slander blue and yellow bottles..... but they don't work as well. I used liquid and it just took a lot to get clean results with liquid. My mom used liquid, it was fine growing up. My great grandma and grandma used powder and it always worked. I've used both, powder is superior and it lasts longer.
The powder works best, dissolves easily in hot or cold water, and gets clothes cleaner. No residue, biodegradable, and rinses better than the liquid. The sudsy water from the liquid stays in your pipes and in the ground longer. When you use the powder, feeling the water between your fingers lets you know if you need more. It's the water that cleans, not the suds floating on top. The powder goes further for less money.
I have an old traditional top loading washer with an agitator. Tide Original powder works best for me since it doesn't irritate my skin, doesn't leave a lot of soap perfume odor in the clothes, and it doesn't make you pay for water like the liquid soaps do. Highly recommend for those who whose machines can use it.
I've been a Tide-only user for many decades, and make that the powder form. It does the job, smells fresh no matter what shape the fabric went into the machine in, and while not impossible to spill, the powder can be easily cleaned u p if needed. I prefer the cardboard box for environmental reasons to plastic bottles. Not a fan of those cute little pods that might attract kids, even though they came out after mine were fully grown... but there are grandkids who visit. So powder was the choice then and still is now.
I was raised on Tide powder and after trying many other types and brands, I’ve come back to it. I don’t see the need to buy, carry, and waste water based liquid detergents in those plastic bottles that rarely get recycled and end up in landfills for thousands of years. This stuff smells fresh and clean, works better than anything else I’ve tried, and is lighter to carry than liquids. And the cardboard packaging will get recycled or decompose naturally.
I Used To Use Gain Detergent, But It Started Clumping Up On All My Dirty Laundry In The Washer. So I Started Using Tide. And I Love How It Makes My Clothes Smell Soo Good And Also Gets All My Dirty Clothes Clean. I Highly Recommend And Have Even Convinced My Mom To Switch To Tide.
It's a box of Tide. Yes, you have to put two tablespoons in a sock. Like your grandmother did. And your clothes haven't been as clean and as fresh smelling as when your grandmother did wash your underpants. Get over yourself. Don't buy the pay the most thinking you'll get the best. It.just is the best regularly available laundry soap which is what you wanted.
This soap was what I was raised on and my children as well. I havent purchased this original scent in quite some time and I was dissapointed that todays version is very perfumey and very heavily fragranced. Other than the smell it is still a wonderful product that is trusted to clean heavily soiled items. It comes very highly reccomended for hard water and leaving no residue. I prefer the cleaning power of the powder much more so than pods or liquid. I will purchase again just in another scent next time.
