The Timberline All Natural Pine Bark Nuggets (2 Cubic Foot) are fantastic! The nuggets are a great size, look clean and natural, and really enhance the appearance of my flower beds. They help retain moisture and keep weeds down while giving everything a polished, professional look. The bag covers a good area and spreads easily. Very happy with the quality and will definitely purchase again!
It's often hard to find pine bark nuggets, so I was thrilled when I saw them at such a good price, delivered to my door. I've read that some gardeners don't like this kind of mulch, but for my use it's perfect. It lasts a long time and gives a nice rustic look to my garden. I even use it between my raised beds, and it's walk-able, even with the bigger nuggets. I love it!
These pine chunks are larger than ordinary shredded mulch. The size isn't too large. I use this product in my raised bed gardens to deter animals, prevent weeds and retain moisture. Their refreshing pine smell deters critters until my plants are large enough to take some damage. I appreciate that these pine nuggets are all natural. They are not colored. Timberline pine bark nuggets protect the plant roots in my beds from the hot summer sun. I water far less during hot summer days. The 2 cu ft size bags contain a good amount of nuggets. I will continue to purchase this product.
Large pine bark nuggets look great, like a something in a natural forest, they don't blow or wash away, and they last a lot longer than regular mulch. We use them for our back yard landscaping because they don't stick to our dogs' fur like regular shredded mulch. We never buy anything else.
I have purchased the pine nugget mulch from this same comoany in the past. i had two bags from previous years that were not opened. When I compared the contents of the older bags to the new ones, the mulch this year has smaller nuggets. I prefer the larger side nuggets.
I bought the same brand and type of pine bark nuggets from Lowe's and from Walmart. however they are not the same at all. walmarts was kinda moldy and had huge chunks of pine bark as opposed to lowes. depending on where you are using the pine bark nuggets would depend if I would recommend it to anyone
I bought the same exact product from both Walmart and Lowes. Same manufacturer, same item, same UPC, same packaging. The photos included with my review tell you all you need to know. *All* of the bags from Lowes contained what is advertised: pine bark nuggets. *All* of the bags from Walmart contain an obviously inferior shredded product that is virtually identical to cheap bagged shredded mulch. Either the Walmart buyer spec'd an inferior product, or the warehouse is not monitoring for QC. I won't be buying mulch from Walmart anymore, and I'll second guess the specs of other products as well. The only star this earned was the delivery. With Walmart , seven bags shipped free. Unfortunately, this was changed to store delivery after ordering, so I was unable to leave the driver a tip as I was not home during delivery. Please allow post-delivery tipping for deliveries switched like this (in addition to paying drivers fairly, of course).
I have purchased this product many times but this shipment of 9 bags was horrible. the material in the bags was soaking wet and there was not any pine bark nuggets - just wet pine bark sawdust/mud. I think the vendor just scraped whatever he could at the bottom of the pile and loaded it into bags. Totally unacceptable.
Very large pieces of finished wood products and large stones were included in bags of mulch nuggets. Not at all what would be normally included in mulch. Very disappointing as this was purchased for a patio project and this debris made project short of needed coverage.
I had 3 or 4 delivers of those mulch, but I noticed two things that i will stop buying from walmart. 1. the mulch is mostly wet, sometimes it almost smell rotten. 2. multiple half palm size rocks are found after dumping the mulch which i never had with lowe's
