Pros: Good value to get started Cons: No tethering and hotspot It will verify your number before you can purchase but still make sure you put in the right one. Again, if you need your phone to put out wifi as a hotspot or tether to something that needs internet, you will need to go for a higher card.

Getting these online at walmart.com is way easier than in a physical store. In a physical store the card I need is not always available. Online it is and it is instant.

Walmart renewal service (not working).
I recently received notification that it was time to renew my service. I went to the Walmart sight where I have been renewing my total wireless service for years. When I tried to make my purchase of the $25 card to renew my service for 1 year. A message came up telling me that there was currently an error in the service. I tried for 2 days to renew through the service I have always used through Wal Mart on my home computer, but every time the apology message came up that they were having problems and were trying to fix them. I finally decided to try buying the card through my phone. I have not received a text message or email that my payment was processed and that my service has been renewed for the next 30 days.

never received $10.00 add on GB's
diot2544 • 1m ago I am having the same problem with my total wireless account. Last month I added a $10 worth of add on GBS whatever they call it, and I checked my account online and it does not show up anywhere. Last month I did get them to give me some extra time, but they did not give me the full 5GB, and I had to talk to some foreign lady F for 15 minutes to get that partial account credit in the form of GBS. If I had to do it over again I would NOT get Verizon TOTAL Wireless.

My husband's phone was turned off because it's not been "processed " yet. Direct top should have been processed within a few minutes, BUT here it is the next day and still nothing!!!

I am long time Tracfone customer. Been with Total Wireless quite awhile also. I have been getting this 25.00 card recent. I had add on carry over min. to use ea. month. Was using those up. Total Wireless took those last month when they worked on my cell even though I still had 31gb left. Employee last month told me this month to tell them to add them back when I added new card %26 would get them back.Just tell them. This month lady refused to give my gb back.Bought lower gb card thinking I'd use my extra gb up.She would not let me talk to mgr. I called back. The guy also refused to let me talk to mgr. He even hung up on me.Then I later lost internet service 5 times over last few days.Used the 1 gb. up. Then it goes to slower speed. After that very... slow.Pages on Walmart's website would not even load correctly. Tried doing Walmart's black Friday sale online today with that cell. What a joke. Worked for hrs. trying to pull up items. Finally gave up %26 using my emergency cell. Total Wireless very unprofessional. Wish Verizon had not bought them out. Sad! It has been continuous problems since they took over. Not only did they buy out Total Wireless, they also bought out Tracfone Straight Talk Family Mobile. Others?? The employees have been pretty nice but some are very hard to understand with heavy accents. Next time I can't understand them I will ask for someone else or hang up if they won't connect me. 1 gb card is not enough if you use the internet much. I better stop there before this cell runs out of data also.

Verizon is slowly raising the prices on the former TOTAL products in a time when new competitors are popping up at lower prices. Had they kept their 11GB of Data at $35 a month, I would still be a customer. Instead, I'm now with someone else at $30 a month for unlimited data.
