After you add the water which COMPLETELY fills it. Be careful not to overflow. I was a little light on the water. Right after you fill plug, %26 cap make sure it gets SHOOK VERY VERY well. I think I have a slight odd conundrum because I guess I didn't shake very well. Weird to explain but if you read this and something odd happens when frozen you'll understand. I only made 2 and didn't shake very well. it does start jelling up about instantly so immediately shaking is crucial.

Much better than I expected. They freeze quickly. Their size is lunch box size but together they work great in a cooler.

These aluminum foil appearing ice packs are perfect for any lunch boxes, coolers and ice chests! They are so slim that they can slide down the sides of whatever containers you put them in to keep the items extra cold! They are also light and don't need to be refilled nor opened up at all once you've initially filled them! I highly recommend them as accompanied frozen items to make you're cooler maintain even colder temps for the food inside.They stack for storage in your freezer using very little space compared to the usual ice blocks I find these items to be a great value for your money and recommend them to everyone using coolers!

so easy to fill. stays frozen in my lunch bag all day, in my car! I've been using them for more than a few weeks now and haven't had any issues. they fit nicely into my insulated lunch bag. (can hold a six pack for size) stays in my car all day. i use one on cooler days and two if it's hot out.

These were easy to use, kept our lunch cold for 5 hours in 90 degree heat.

Bought for car travel. Good product. To fly with them in your checked luggage. they must be frozen! Checked regulations before USA domestic flight. A ok.

These ice packs worked exactly as advertised. They lasted over seven hours without even starting to thaw. After that, in a Coleman cooler, they did start to get mushy. They worked as I needed them to.

I love everything about this product except... Your instructions are lacking information. You have paper instructions, tells you how to fill it. Didn't see the instructions on the packets themselves, I had them already filled. Also already had them in the freezer. Didn't know there was gel stuff in the packets. One of them spilled out, so tried to gather up as much as possible. Didn't know it was gel! You need to with on the instructions. If I knew you would have gotten 5 stars.

I think they would be good however 1 of the 2 or maybe both have a small leak in them when delivered!!! There was leakage on the outer shipping envelope and droplets all on the inside of plastic wrap
