[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This grill is fantastic except when it catches on fire. If you are not changing the grease tray out when it gets dirty, than your grill will catch on fire. And ultimately everything that you were cooking will be burnt toast.
Love my new Traeger grill. I am new to the smoking realm but needless to say it has changed our weekend dinners. I have done brisket, chicken, burgers, steak and ribs....loved them all. The WiFire is amazing...as I can make changes on the fly from in the house while making the sides. Totally love my purchase...assembly was easy...and enjoyed the six pack countdown...
I was super wary of spending so much on a smoker, but I AM SO GLAD I DID. This is a beautiful piece of equipment and literally does all the work itself. Traeger is something that will be in my family forever. We are already looking at other products! My boyfriend has become a top notch cook in one week. Do it, do it, do it.
I am a vegetarian who loves to grill on my Traeger. This is my second Traeger purchase, and I love all the design improvements. From little things like changing the pellet hopper door hinges to open away from the grill, starting the grill closed, and the ever important WiFire Technology that lets me walk the neighborhood and still track my smoking temps, this new grill is even better than my Lil Tex Elite.
Disappointed with the power brick failure. Nothing worse then all power being gone when attempting to season my grill. Support was helpful via chat. New brick and cord on the way. But, a hassle....
The quality of the grill is amazing. It is very different to grill/smoke on and the temp fluctuation in the midwest winter does create issues. When following a recipe from the app that was supposed to take 2 hours, it took 4.
WiFiRE doesn't work. Apparently there has been problems with that. I wasn't going to write a review but since Traeger asked for one here you go. Other than that the grill is okay. Just wished I had saved the money and got the step down without WiFiRE.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently purchased my Traeger 3 weeks ago. Came to my house in a large box and I assembled it with ease. Beautiful design and very elegant. I would call it the Yeti of grills. If you buy this product you're buying the brand and not necessarily a traditional bbq grill. I paid a pretty penny for this grill and if we're being honest I like the convenience and overall product, but it left me wanting more as if it were missing something for the price. Tech wise it's not the most reliable. My grill has crashed twice while I've had it, sometimes it takes an hour to heat up. I'm not reporting it because let's face it, I'm not moving that thing. Nor is it that deep.. I just want you to be informed about this product and if you are going to make an investment and use your grill every other day then I suggest getting something less expensive. As it is I'm scared to over work my Traeger because I still owe on it. Do I have buyers remorse, no. I knew what I was getting myself into. But if you're an avid bbq enthusiast and your life revolves around smoking meat and grilling than look elsewhere. But if you're not worried about spending money and don't care about how long it lasts and don't bbq but twice a month than this is your product.
So far I am unsatisfied with my new grill. I owned a pro 22 and loved it. My mother wanted a grill so I gave it to her and ordered a pro 575. Things take more than twice as long to cook, I called into the customer support line, the woman I spoke to was very kind but could offer no solution for my problem.
This may be one of the worst purchases I have ever made. When it works the food is good but.....The grill itself has caught fire 3-4 times. When I TRY to start it it takes 2-3 times of a start and shutdown cycle for pellets to light. The most recent issue...the one that finally pushed me to write my first ever review of anything.....the flame went out mid-cook. Another ruined dinner. How can such an expensive grill be such a bad product???
