Does the job. If you have tall grasses and weeds this thing cuts through. Some provisos - if the tall grasses/weeds are wet it's less effective. The handle is varnished and slippery - suggest putting grip tape on it and wear good gloves. This isn't for whimpy people - you have to thrash and swing hard like you would with a driver at the golf course. Keep your swings close to the ground and you'll take stuff down quickly. I took down weeds as high as 5ft - yes 5ft - just keep the blade close to the ground and it will get the job done. Also, wear safety goggles and don't use this around people, cars, property. If you swing and let it go you could cause serious damage.

We looked long and hard for this product. This is a lighweight product that I used in my younger years and I still have my dad's "whip". I needed an new one. My son suggested that we try Walmart on-line !! So glad that he did !! Pricing of this item was a bit high. Sure do wish that WM had this product IN THE STORE b/c I'm sure that they would sell like crazy !! Esp. now with yard work going on and also when Spring arrives !

I ordered this for my husband. He wanted a grass whip and we could not find one in any store. He is very pleased with it. It seems like a good product. I am very happy with the purchase.

Love this thing! I needed it to cut down really tall weeds around a telephone pole that was all grown up and no one could walk down the sidewalk… so I used this thing and it was great. Got some aggression out and got it all cleaned up.

Good balance. Teeth on one side were damaged but I repaired. The blade is painted so you must sharpen it before use; they all need a file after use to keep good edge . Taiwan made - last one was better (30 yrs ago) US made. Ah yes, the wonderful World Economy! Brick and Mortar you can see it before purchase.

Although the Ames grass whip is still dull when purchased and needs to be sharpened before using it, the Ames grass whip is a better quality product overall than the Seymour WE 30. It costs about a dollar more than the Seymour product.

It did the job, but it was overpriced. Nothing exceptional

The item came unwrapped, just with a tag on it. The handle is so narrow, and it just doesn't work well AT ALL. In my opinion, it was a SERIOUS waste of money - just another piece of junk that doesn't work.

This doesn't cut anythin!! Absolutely horrible! Do not waste your $!
