This is BY FAR my dog's favorite toy (and mine)! My dog is a heavy chewer so just about every toy I buy is destroyed within minutes, except for this one. Granted, she'll still bust it open in a day or two, but the lining lasts for MUCH longer so she still has something to play with. Think I've bought 5-6 of these already and will definitely keep buying.
I have a German Shepherd who is a heavy chewer. This is perfe t fir him. The material is very durable and the overall feel is somewhat rigid. The squeakers inside don't appear to be easily crushed as in cheaper made toys. A definite must for heavy/aggressive chewers.
My pup absolutely loves this shark to (eventual) pieces. He's a German Shepherd and English Bulldog mix (I know, weird combination). He is a big boy and LOVES to chew. I first went out on a limb and bought one for him when he was about 3 months old. He was already tearing apart literally every toy he could and I hoped that maybe this would last for at least a few days and help with teething. Nearly constant chewing and about 3 months later, I finally had to put his original one in the trash and replaced it with another one that I had bought a few weeks ago. He was so thrilled to have a new one (his old one was really dead to be honest, the innards had started to become outards lol but still, it had lasted so long compared to other toys). He knows and loves when we tell him "Klaus, go get your shark!" he runs around the house until he finds it and then brings it to us to throw around for him. He IS a puppy still at 6 months now, but he is also huge at 51 lbs and really really loves to chew. I know there are some not great reviews on here, but we had a great experience with this and I'm about to purchase at least 2 more to have as backups because of how much he loves this thing. My only complaint so far is that strings tend to start coming off fairly soon. It didn't affect the integrity of the toy for quite a long time though.
I got this for my German Shepherd when we brought her home. This has lasted though those sharp baby teeth and now her big girl power. It was bought as a "funny" bc german shepherds are often called "land sharks" but it quickly became my pups favorite toy. She sleeps with it and it is never far away from her.
my aussie dog Johnny Cash loves these!
I have 2 - 70 pound dogs that are 2 years old. They love these sharks and they hold up for a long time. Also, $6 cheaper each then the same thing on e-bay.
Well I have to say that this toy has lasted longer than any of the other stuffed animals in my house. I have a lab that is about seven months old and she tears the threads and the stuffing out of everything. She did not like the shark at first because it was tough! After having it for about three weeks now it is still in one piece but she has definitely managed to get the stitching out or some of it anyway lol either way she has given it heck and I haven't had to throw it away yet but it won't be long lol not because of the product but because of the dog lol
Our German Shorthaired Pointer was very excited to receive a new toy today, but less that 3 hrs later, I had to take it away from him.ð âThe Worldâs Toughest Toyâ is a bit of an exageration! On the upside, it was fun while it lasted!
This dog toy is rated a level 7. Heavy duty. My son's dog is a medium sized mixed breed, puppy, and he tore this up in 2 days. To be fair we have not found a dog toy yet that he hasnt destroyed. I thought a level 7 would be it, but I was wrong.
I was super excited to get something my dog would take awhile to destroy. However, because the nose of the shark did not have any reinforced stitching (like the rest of the shark), she had the stuffing coming out in the nose area in about 10 minuites. Money down the drain, unless I can repair it myself.
