This product is GREAT, it brought back a faded hood to like new condition. I followed up with a good Turtle wax , and now this 21 year old vehicle looks like NEW.
It worked great , not as abrasive as the paste rubbing compound , but perfect for what i needed it for . Cleaned head light assembly of my car
I have used both the Turtle Wax rubbing and polishing compound for decades for so many projects I can't imagine what I would have used in its place. Scratches, blemishes, irregularities on all sorts of surfaces, the Turtle Wax Rubbing compound has no equal. Turtle wax Rubbing compound is always my precursor to any further polishing.
The compound works perfect for what I need it for. It's not a top quality like other brands but it definitely gets the job done. Although it is a cheaper brand you must take it off in a timely manner if not it will be a bit harder to take off once left on there too long.
So someone left a "nice" scuff of white paint on my burgundy Jeep. I was not happy. Less than 5 minutes with this and a microfiber cloth and it was gone. washed the Jeep, put some fresh wax on it to protect the paint where I had used the rubbing compound, and you'd never know there was an issue.
Good light polishing compound . Not very aggressive no matter which applicator you use. May need a stronger brand for heavy heavy buff out goals/work but this is amazing for a good buff out paint restorer; great for white vehicles to remove stains and more and brighten any aged paint job before waxing. Love Turtle Wax Products
You will need a ton of elbow grease if you was manually. Bit the good thing is, it CAN remove light blemished on the paint. I haven't tested this on scrapes yet, but God forbid I won't be expecting that in the near future. We have tree sap and insect road kills in our town during the summer, as we live in a rural area. This was removes them all but patience is needed. All in all its a cheap way to DIY detail your car. I highly recommend this.
I bought this compound to knock off some old and grimy clear coat that was on my hood. it works good and sense that you do not leave it on for too long because it will stick. but if you're just trying to knock off the top clear coat to get a good shine, this stuff works real good.
Doesn’t get any scratches or most swirls out. It strips old wax though. It also flings when used with a buffer. Better do it by hand or it’s getting all over! Not the worst but not as bad as the old products they sold in the past. If you want to get out scratches and swirls, try Maguiers or Mothers.
I’ve previously used rubbing compound and it worked well. I need some recently and they didnt have the product in stock id previously purchased. I decided to give this one a try, it was a liquid version ( the previous one was more of a paste) so i thought it be easier to apply. It leaves a weird milky residue so make sure you rub well. But it didnt work on even the lightest of scratches think like hairline scratches( previous rubbing compounds have gotten deeper scratches out) . I think this product can only be used if you have a buffer machine despite the label saying you can use with a hand towel. Dont waste your money like i did! You can apparently use toothpaste so try that before you waste money.
