great price great quality too
We used these to move across the country from California back to Florida and they were great in keeping our furniture safe and sturdy inside the container. We are still using these blankets but for other things. They are very sturdy and a greats price.
Reasonable and multi use
As a long time (41 years) professional mover for the price these moving pads are well worth the money. While they aren't as big or as thick as full sized pads they give plenty of protection for any kind of furniture. When your move is done just fold them up and put them in a box in the attic or basement until you need them again. A really good value.
I'm a solo operator for my own YouTube Channel. These are going up as Sound Proofing. I have a whole empty Two Bedroom Apartment. Great for all my Home Use and Product Photography. I can use to Hang as a Curtain, For Light Diffusion. Over a table, on the floor, I can see many uses for this. Thank You Walmart.com!
About half the thickness of good Uhaul blankets, these are good quality for keeping furniture covered and protected in storage. If you want to use them for moving, maybe double them up for added protection against scratches. If you want absolute moving protection for your good furniture, you should spend more on thicker padding. These are fine for light use and I am happy with the price and useability.
As long as you understand these are NOT professional level, quilted, moving blankets then you won't be disappointed. They are like very thick felt (tried to get a pic showing the thickness). They'll protect furniture well enough in most situations. We are doing a self-move and there's no way we could afford the thicker blankets, plus, what would we do with them after? These are priced right, we can try to resell some after we are done or we might donate them to an animal shelter or something. Keeping some for future use because they are handy. For anything very delicate or valuable I'd spring for the better blankets, nothing we have is valuable! The only other difference between these and the better ones is these aren't as large so you'll need more. But we have already been able to cut one blanket and use both halves to wrap and entire set of side supports for my kids bunk beds in one bundle. So we were able to use 1 blanket that way. You couldn't do that with the larger ones, you'd have a lot of excess with those. We might up up others for chair legs and things like that so we don't use up as many blankets for this move so in that way we'll use fewer blankets than the thicker ones! I see these being very useful beyond the move and I recommend them if self-moving. We have about 10 of the good blankets for a few special items and that balance is perfect and will save us thousands!
Much thinner than expected but what really got me was that 10 of the 12 blankets had been cut in several places. Sliced several inches long, almost completely through the material and some having 2 or 3 slices near one another. It looks as though a box cutter was used at some point and sliced through boxes as well as the blankets themselves. How can I be expected to protect my furniture if the thing I am wrapping them in is shredded????
The description is deceiving. It says 12 blankets per order and I ordered 2 orders. However, I only received one order. When I called Walmart.com customer service and spoke to Ray she advised me apparently there is another tracking number with no information in regards to the other half of the order. Ray stated she would expedite my other half of my order. This makes no sense why my full order was not initially sent to me. If anyone orders this make sure to count how many you get because you may get shorted.
There's something wrong with this SKU. I've gotten it twice now and both times it only has half of the product. Instead of 12 units, it only comes with 6 units. Both times it only came with 6 blankets. Even though it's advertised, pictured, described, and sold as a 12-pack. Even the sticker on the item says "Textile Blankets/Skins (12 pack)". But it obviously isn't. I'd alert the manufacturer/vendor and let them know of the issue. I.e. they're underfilling the item.
