Unscented Cutter Insect and Mosquito Repellent, Bug Spray with 10% DEET, 11 Oz

Tried it out today under circumstances that usually put me at high risk for mosquito bites. Didn't get ANY bites. Very pleased!

TLDR: it works but feels oily at first. I don't think this has a bad smell to it, even though my better half says there's a smell (Not noticeable to me because it's not like my face is right next to my legs, nor am I spraying this indoors). It definitely works to keep those biting flies from getting their blood meal from me so that is the most important quality in my opinion. I have sprayed the product onto my hands and then applied on my kid's legs (as per the instructions) one time when the biting flies were being more extra than usual that it was preventing her from enjoying being outside. It helped her from getting bites too, though her dad did not want anything with DEET on her since she is a toddler. But honestly I felt bad for her, her legs look like we go camping too much but we don't! She just has bites form every time going to our backyard. The label shows it is safe to use on children as long as you follow the instructions, don't spray on cuts, and don't put it on their hands (they might rub their face with it, which is a big NO-NO). We washed it off right away once we got indoors, but initially it felt oily, so you just have to resist scratching or touching your legs (or wherever you put the product on) for a few minutes whiles it's still fresh on your skin. Overall, it works and that was why I bought this (I couldn't stand all the bug bites every. Single. Time. I tried to enjoy the sun outdoors even for just a few minutes). Also, I follow instructions and wash with soap and water or shower immediately after to keep any product from getting on anything else. Before getting this, I was using peppermint essential oil with a carrier oil (jojoba), but my kid freaked out because of the cooling sensation/stinging effect (even very diluted would bother her). I still prefer the natural oils but this has been very effective in my experience, without the tingling/cooling sensation that peppermint oil gives. I also have neem oil which works as a bug repellent but the smell is so strong it makes me gag, rendering it effectively useless since I can't use it without feeling like throwing up. Normally I wouldn't advocate this, but this gets the job done without the smell or stinging effect of some natural oils.

My family lives in the hot humid Midwest and insect repellant with DEET is an absolute must have. Cutter insect repellent is the best we have found hands down. Every year my son goes to camp in a heavily wooded area near a river. The mosquitos are everywhere but he hasn't had a single mosquito bite when using this product. Plus it protects against ticks which gives me so much peace of mind when he's out in nature. Hiking is a favorite pastime for my husband and kids so Cutter insect repellant is on hand at all times. Much less worry when you know the family is protected from insect bites and the diseases they can bring. You will not be disappointed with this product!

One of the things I hate the most about using insect repellent is the smell! This Cutter product is truly unscented and I love it. It repels insects very well allowing me to enjoy being outside. Also it lasts for hours! No need to constantly reapply to keep the bugs away.

Unscented is not exactly the word I would use for this spray. I would say more like not strongly scented. But definitely a manageable scent. But and most importantly it works. Bugs love me (can you blame them?) but with just a quick spay of Cutter they don't come any where near me. I use this on those evenings that I relocate from being in the house all day to sitting outside (quarantine). I don't have to use a lot and most importantly I can light a candle that I like the smell of instead of a bug repellant one.

Very effective insect repellent! I read the instructions and applied it as instructed. It went on easily and at the end of the trip I am glad to report that I had no insect bites! I`m also glad that it was unscented and didn't have an obnoxious scent! Its such a big bottle that it can definitely be used multiple times!

I am a mosquito MAGNET! For years I've been trying to find a natural solution to keep me skeeter free but I have now given into the power of Deet. I keep this spray on my patio and just spray myself lightly when I want to hang out on the porch or by the pool. It definitely keeps the mosquitos away and means I can enjoy my backyard again!

I like that its unscented. I dont like walking around reeking of bug spray. Now for me it does have that bug spray smell but it's not strong and over powering. I literally have to put my nose to my skin to smell it. We bought a camp last summer so we will get a lot of use from this bug spray. I sprayed it on and it dried really fast. I could tell it was on my skin but it wasn't tacky or sticky so that's a good thing.

Used around the firepit and was pretty good about keeping Mosquitos away. Generally like to go with stronger Deet but for not being overwhelmingly chemically strong this is a good product. Sprays on easy not greasy or oily. And no overpowering smells.

This insert spray was missing the spray nozzle. Since it did not have a conventional top that you remove, I did not see that the spray nozzle was missing. I discovered it was missing when I tried to use it a few days later Now I am stuck with an item that I can't throw away but take it to a disposal site.
