Truthfully, I assumed these wouldn't work. I bought a new rug and wanted to trim the rug pad that I already had for a larger rug. Intense cutting on thicker surfaces. I am an artist who often uses matt boards and hefty painting surfaces. Cuts clean and neat on surfaces that will be visible to others. Like a much more complex tool than scissors.
