ive never used impesto before this.. when mixed with paint it provides texture, not as much as i was hoping for, but it also drys kind of glossy though... which is cool if thats what your hoping for! and what i mean by i was hoping for more texture.. it drys a little bit thicker then elmers glue.. like yeah youll get texture but as it drys it flattens out more.. more so then plaster or other mediums ive tried.

This medium is absolutely necessary for painting Mandalas stencils. This is my go-to brand for this gel medium. All you need to do is place your stencil on a painted surface - very important. Apply an even coat of gel to your stencil. Using a pallet knife, start layering your colors to the stencil. The gel dries quickly, so you mustn't dawdle. Carefully remove the stencil and allow your painting to dry thoroughly. I then do any touch-ups as needed. You will be amazed by your results! Enjoy!

Quality is good and you get double the amount for the price compared to other 'popular' brands. Not overly thick so it spreads easily. I would buy this again.

ITS NOT CLEAR

I am certain the product is of good quality. My rating was based on the fact that the lid of the jar was cracked and product spilled out to the point that I could not use it. I returned it to the store for a refund.
