The actual storage capacity of the 2TB (2000GB) USB Flash Drive is 500GB, representing a significant discrepancy from the specified 2000GB and indicating the drive is not performing as advertised. The most probable reason is that the thumb drive is a counterfeit product that has been programmed to lie about its capacity. False Reporting: The drive contains a small, low-capacity chip (perhaps only 500MB, 4GB, 8GB, or 32GB) but its firmware/controller chip has been modified (hacked) to report a massive capacity, such as 2TB, to your operating system (Windows, macOS, etc.).
This drive is taking 21 hours to back up just 53GB on a trial run. A full TB would take 395 hours, or 16 days. This device is 2TB, and so at this rate would take 33 days to completely fill it. I have a 1TB flash drive from 12 years ago, and I can copy a full TB onto it in about a half hour, and the thing cost me $20 back then. This is complete junk, do not buy it. Worthless!
At first, this drive worked fine, now, my laptop keeps telling me the drive has errors (file corruption errors). While I can still access what is already on the drive, I cannot send anything else to it from the hard drive for storage. I have already reformatted it three times and it still falls into file corruption. Downloading directly to the drive is useless because it causes the drive to get stuck freezing my Windows Explorer, in turn causing me to have to restart the laptop and what ever remnants of the failed download remained, I cannot delete. I do not recommend this flash drive unless you want to spend time doing file maintenance and constantly dealing with file corruptions.
Don't be fooled like I was. Sure, the flash drive has 1.9TB of capacity, but it really doesn't store well. I used it to copy many of my work files before the company shut down. I didn't want to lose the years of hard work I had put into the job. It took forever (days) to copy over the files, but then when I looked over what had supposedly been copied, the folders were there, but many were empty. And some files that initially had been copied, disappeared on their own later. All in all, a terrible investment, even though it is cheap.
I bought this to clear up space on my hard drive of files that I don’t need ready access to. After I transferred about 80gb of data I ejected the drive. When I plugged the drive back in 3 hours later to transfer some more files the drive name was back to untitled and all my files are missing. Now I have to spend at least a day running programs to see what I can recover. Now I see why they discounted it so much. No one was going to pay over $100 for a faulty drive.
I purchased this about a month ago so I could keep my videos on a flash drive for future use. I’m starting to really now use it, and all of a sudden pictures and videos are starting to become corrupted and literally 2 hours prior they were just fine. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS IF YOUR WANTING TO KEEP MEMORIES ON HERE. YOU WILL LOSE THEM EVENTUALLY!
Absolute trash, i have a friend who is good with computers look at the 2T drive after i couldnt get my files to copy over. This is actually only a 64gb drive but the firmware is programmed to say it is 2T. Tried to connect to my smart tv to watch the files that did copy over and the TV doesnt even recognize it as a storage device. Save your money and buy anything else!!!!
Very disappointed in this USB Flash Drive. It had mixed reviews so I decided to try it out. Do not make that mistake. It is going back to Walmart in the morning. It accepted very few files, not even 256MB and it was a 2TB Flash drive. I spent many hours dealing with it, it then told me that it had 9 errors, it ask me if I wanted to scan for errors and fix them, so I said yes to scan and fix. However, it came back and said it could not fix the errors. I copied the few files off of it on to my hard drive, so I can return it and then deleted the files, it said could not delete the files. I then did a quick format to delete them, it still shows that space used on there. Now, I am trying a regular long format, which is taking forever. Wish me luck.
Find a trusted product, print your photos. I trusted this drive to save my precious memories and it erased them all. I transferred my photos and it all looked right and when I plugged it into my computer /phone again, EVERYTHING was GONE! Every picture of my baby. Gone.
To say that these suck is an understatement! They take forever to load or unload, and if you wish to return them Walmart and the company that made them will leave you high and dry. Screaming with frustration and weeping with futility. Avoid this company and avoid Walmart whose return policy is nonexistent.
