UYIR MANN Coco Coir 2 LB Brick - Premium Gardening Soil

Walmart is asking for my review of this. I actually made this purchase in winter, and won't be using it until early spring. So... honestly, I have no personal experience with it yet. I think I've been asked for a review two different times now ~ with an incentive. I purchased this product based on the good reviews of others. I had looked up using coconut coir from other sources. I plan to use it along with potting soil and perlite in new raised beds. My results last year with just potting mix in containers was a fail. I learned that I need to try for more aeration in the soil this year.

The price was very reasonable, especially for the amount of coir, and provided excellent drainage for overwatering issues in my past, and has performed well in my seed starting trays. I would definitely recommend it to other gardeners. After buying other high priced coirs in the past, I figured out, It has good moisture retention, to help the roots hydrated. It was also clean and free of debris, making me a happy gardener. Tip: You may need to buffer and and adjust the pH as coco coir in general can be slightly acidic.

This product worked really well, but the instructions were kinda lacking. Luckily I was able to add a brick and guess how much water and then it was too wet I could add one of the other bricks. It's worked great for moisture retention and was a great price!

This is a great product to use for gardening I just started planting my veggies in my raised garden bed. So far so good.

It expands and mixes with the soil easily. It seems to help hold the moisture in the soil longer.

Good for seed starting and homemade potting mix.

It's a brick! My coco coir package was divided into two bricks. That works for my project. I soaked one and dry stored the other one. Great blend.
