Everything I have tried from them I love, and there involves research and some trial and error to stay on a clean, healthy, affordable diet. These products are just that without compromised taste or quality. Studies are showing some breads have roundup in them, how are we surprised at that. Pay a bit extra and pls do not be afraid of setting down the shiny apple for a bruised one, it is actually much better for you. This family owned import I absolutely trust over many domestic at this point, until we in the USA can vet everyone in business who are either worshipping money and the bottom line, or who really care about the Earth and all inhabitants. A good way to tell is if they make enough profit for a decent way to survive yet still serve the better good. That will not be what are now the fading leaders of industry or factory farms. Let all the goodness be a part of your Way of life, and remember most wonderful companies are out there but do not spend most of their concern for advertising, word of mouth like this is why I do this, to share the good finds I score. Not that I do not go back and have to erase a few I pencil into my routine, but not this one, they give you exactly what they claim to, nothing more, nothing less at a good rate considering what has gone into it in a world where it is much cheaper to profit without concern of the overall impact on the entire ecosystem of Global health. A dying breed as we all learn to worship this realm and it rises out of the muck and fog into a safer and more beautiful place for the next generations.

I really like this ginger powder. I’ve been using it to help prevent a cold and it mixes easily into hot drinks. I also used it in a recipe and the flavor was fresh and not overpowering. A little goes a long way, and it’s nice to have an organic option on hand.

Amazing aroma the second you lift the lid. I love Indian spices. I do think they have helped my health a little bit. They are also delectable. Ginger steak is what I'm making today, and the aroma is already wonderful. The flavor of all these Vahdam spices is beautiful, too. I would never guess they were so economical/affordable. I think they would make an amazing house-warming present: you know, a small basket full of these little spices for a friend or neighbor!

This product should not be confused with the usual spice rack version of ginger as used in cookies and other recipes. This ginger powder does have a more intense 'heat' flavor, part of the flavor profile of fresh spicy ginger is present. It is NOT as good as using real fresh ginger in recipes but it is closer than any other powdered product. It makes an authentic tasting ginger tea too, and can be combined with a little powdered turmeric to make a traditional herbal tea. I use a small paper cone coffee filter to brew tea with this powder.

But the lid is kind of flimsy. As far as the product, it seems fine. If needed, you may transfer into a different container.

VAHDAM is a good company. I ordered the Ginger powder to create a natural health recipe that clears up mucus in my throat, by Dr Anshul Gupta, MD 1 tsp. of Manuka honey, one tsp. of Ginger powder, a pinch of black pepper and a few drops of lemon juice in a cup of warm water. I saw improvement.

It seems they are using fillers because looks like a dumpling when adding a measured amount to hot water and it does not provide the burn that comes from another organic ginger product that is not easily found or whole dried ginger that is not easily ground into fine powder at home... It's better than most all of conventional ginger products from South Asian stores and does quickly become spoiled, so storing in tightly sealed glass container is necessary... Not much medicinal value like another hard to find organic ginger brand only found in South Asian stores...

The container does not have at least a screw on cap. It simply snaps in place. At the same time it comes with a note that requires you to put the unused portion into an air tight container. Now my question is why couldn't it have come in air tight container?

I purchased this item believing there would be a top on it . There was not a top I reviewed and commented but nothing was done the top was missing equaling an incomplete purchase . The tops come with the product usually .

My seal was broken when I opened the lid.
