this is a excellent product. the functions work as it should. you set your own temperature and amount of minutes of hours . I find this gadget very helpful and very easy to use for all those that are trying to decrystallize your honey. for a 5 gallon bucket is approximately 48 hours? decrystallize back to the liquid that be of the per raw honey. into a deep ice cooler. so and then fill the water up to below the lid of the 5 gallon. The instructions of the that you receive with it give you full instructions and how to o operate the controls. it's great. it's just not for food cooking. great for other sources.

Have only used once since getting it a week ago. Very easy to use and understand its usage. Cooked some NY strip steaks to a medium doneness, then put them on the grill to sear them for about 2 min per side. They were done perfectly and very tender. Can't wait to use the sous vide for lots of other dishes. It's totally quiet. I even changed the temp and time on the unit during the cook with no problem. I highly recommend this no frills sous vide. Not sure why others pay much more so they can have a digital picture on a small screen.

I reviewed quite a few of these units on many different forums. They all more or less had the same features with the exception of Wi-Fi and a phone app. I was more interested in the simpler approach and how powerful it was. This one has 1100 watts of power delivering 9.1 amps to the heating element. This is a reflection of how quick it takes to bring the temperature up and how much effort it takes to regulate the temperature. All things being equal you're just trying to hold a temperature for a designated time. This unit does that quite well and quiet. Simple user interface. Oh, and hold down the temperature icon to switch to Ferinheight for temperature reference. So, in closing I'll say Quiet, Powerful, Easy. Excellent price from Wal-Mart online!

The quality, ease of use and range of selections are great. I make yogurt and it comes out great and perfect every time. Sometimes there is a slight temperature variation by 1/10 of a degree, but that does not change the results. All in all, a very good device and I am pleased with my purchase.

My husband wanted to try sous vide, and I originally ordered a more expensive brand/model that was highly recommended by reviewers. That order was canceled due to insufficient inventory, and I ended up ordering this sous vide on sale days before Christmas hoping it would arrive in time to open on the big day. Not only did it arrive a day earlier than expected, it worked beautifully! We've used it several times over the past month already, and it has performed perfectly. As other reviewers noted, it runs two degrees cooler than the set temperature. We tested it with an instant read thermometer before our maiden voyage with the Christmas prime rib and set the temperature at 130. Perfect, juicy, luscious results. Love it!

The product has added a new quality element to our home cooking. Using sous vide negates the need for marinades used for hours in advance though it may require a couple hours of cooking yet provides predictable and uniform temperatures with seasoning penetration. This product is a quality build which is easy to use. Put it in the water, set the temperature, set the time. It quickly rises to the temperature. Place your sealed food with its seasoning in the water. Walk away and come back at the set time. As easy as it gets.

My new Sous vide was delivered on time at a great price, unpacked and plugged in and cooked my first steak in it, great product, easy to program and heats a Up quickly, would buy again

I haven't decided yet if I'll return this item. It works okay, but only with a second thermometer because the machine is inaccurate. And it has trouble maintaining a constant temperature, so that makes the timer inaccurate and you have to set a second clock. Otherwise quiet and affordable, but I worry about its longevity since it already has problems after only 3 cooks.

The timer won’t start I’ve been trying everything it won’t go the directions are vague and there should be a start button or something!!! So annoying!!!
