This is a very handy tool if you like to save money on food. Great not only for food but everyday essentials you might want to keep out of the elements. Cheeses last much longer than in a regular plastic container or bag as do lunch meats and items that go to the freezer.

This sealer and the great bags keep my food nice and fresh in the freezer. As a Senior, it's nice to prepare things ahead of time and know that it will be as good as the day I prepared it.

I ordered this with doubts that something this small could possibly be effective! Well, well, well! It sure convinced me! Nice and easy charging, operation and it does EXACTLY as advertised! I paid for 1/2 of this with points from buying a ton of the new bags with the circle vacuum to use with the reg device. But I hardly ever used it as it was such a hassle. So I bought this. It is so easy to use and works great. I use it for all types of food. Put grapes in a bag, eat a few and seal it back up. I have to use my teeth to begin pressing the bag edges together when sealing and then run my fingers over to make sure it's completely sealed. That bags not coming open!! Thank you food saver!!!

The new hand held sealer is great! It's always charged and ready and it's 100 times more quiet than the older model from years ago. I like that I can put it on the bag and walk away, no more holding the button down. I don't know why I waited so long to get the newer model!

This is a replacement for the hand held sealer that stopped charging. So far the new one seems to be working very well. The suction is great. I sealed some veggies that stayed fresh beyond the time I thought they would. ( a half of an onion and half a green pepper). That did impress me. I haven't tried marinating yet but I will soon. I do like the portability,

I hope this one lasts forever - it's fabulous! On most things I freeze I don't have to hold it down like the older versions as there are buttons on the side to push for vacuum or marinate. Since it's brand new I'm not sure how long a charge lasts but it sure seems to keep on vacuuming every day since I've had it without having to charge it up. Kudos to FoodSaver for this big improvement.

I love the easiness and cost effectiveness of the mini Handheld vacuum device. I have been a long time user of the Food Saver system with a large family over the past years. Now, the family has grown and on their own. With only the two of us I use the storage bags to make the fresh produce last longer and am able to still divide the bulk purchases; this eliminating waste and makes the budget easier to manage.

You will need a FoodSaver marinating conrainer to take advantage of this device (until the first one wore out), but I've been using these for many years, and they do work. If you do not have any of those containers built for this device, you may be better off getting a moe economical Chef Preserved vacuum ( which I have also been using for years).

Battery died and will not accept a charger after one week. Off shore consumer care to hard to hear and understand. Still waiting on a resolution.
